Re: ID [redacted] ComplaintBuick LaCrossVin [redacted] Dear Revdex.com Representative,The first time we heard from [redacted] after his vehicle was repaired and picked up from D.CCollision on January 21, was on June 10, [redacted] called and told us that he took his vehicle to [redacted] in Webster NV for an air conditioning problemihe system would not hold a vacuumThey leak tested the system and found ascrew had punctured the A/C condenser, which was Installed new In January and was charged with fresh refrigerant R-At the time it left our shop in January, the air conditioning unit was blowing coldair and working properly.I asked [redacted] to come to D.CCollision to Inspect the vehicleWhen he came in a day or two later, we confirmed that a screw had punctured the A/C condenserThis was a result of another impactto the vehicle after it left our shop In January of I took photos and explained to [redacted] that the vehicle had impact which caused·damage to the vehicleI explained to him that the impact hadcaused the air dam to push up, which resulted in a screw puncturing the A/C condenser unit [redacted] said that he did not hit anything and that I must be wrongHowever, [redacted] alsostated that the main driver of his vehicle was his grandson I have been in business for forty one yearsI am also licensed as an independent adjuster for autodamage and theft appraisals in NY State and can determine when a vehicle was impacted to cause damage Although the damage was clearly from another impact to his vehicle, I replaced another A/C condenserunit and charged the system again In June at no charge to [redacted] for parts or labor as gesture of goad willWhen [redacted] picked his vehicle up, .the A/C unit was blowing cold andworking properly. After a few days, [redacted] came back into our facility and presented me with two invoices that he thought I should pay forOne was for the diagnostic charge from [redacted] for $and one wasan invoice from a [redacted] In Cleveland, Ohio that he had brake work done on for $(unrelated) and wanted me to pay the $99.99, which was the portion for the ABS diagnostic fee.I told him I was not responsible for either invoices as they were related to a separate incident involving an additional impactWhen [redacted] picked his vehicle up In January, his air conditioning unit was tested and working. There was not any dashboard lights on which would have indicated any mechanical issuesThere was not any damage to the bottom of his vehicle and there was not a screw puncturing the new A/Ccondenser unit which we installed and was working properly I was generous in replacing [redacted] 's A/C condenser unit, when I knew it was not from 'shoddywork' as he put it, but clearly damaged from another impactI have been fair and honest with htmI have photos (enclosed) of the damage to his vehicle from the second Impact[redacted] Is upset because he told me he was out $Five hundred dollars was for his deductible, which is the portion of his insurance policy that he chose and has nothing to do with ourbusinessHe stated three hundred dollars was for a new wheel bearing, which, as stated in prior letter, would have been covered under warrantyAnd the additional money for the two Invoices was from [redacted] and [redacted] , which was unrelated to the work we had doneTherefore, I amnot responsible for any further reimbursements to [redacted] did everything possible to try to help [redacted] and immediately addressed his concernsDominic C [redacted]

Dear Revdex.com Representative,We purchased a wheel bearing on 1/16/from [redacted] ***, which is a trusted vendor of ours and installed it in the above referenced vehicleThis part had a one year warranty on it[redacted] never called our business or came into our facility for a complaint of a defective wheel bearingInstead, he went to [redacted] , who, he said, replaced the wheel bearing we installed[redacted] then contacted us and wanted reimbursement from us for the repairs that were made at [redacted] Had [redacted] contacted us initially, this part, if defective, would have been returned to our vendorand we would have replaced it with another wheel bearing under warranty at no chargeBut, *** [redacted] never gave us the opportunity to do so or the opportunity to even verify if this part was or was not defective. We have all invoices for [redacted] 's repairs on fileWe cannot reimburse him for repairs that he chose to have done at another facility" when we would have taken care of this for him under warranty.Dominic C***President, D.CCollision, inc
