Hello,
Mr.. [redacted] arrived at our service drive on the 28th of July 2014 describing several items that he would like looked into and possibly fixed.  Mr. [redacted]'s truck was diagnosed and several items were identified needing repair.  An estimate was given and signed by Mr....

[redacted].  All work to be done was pre- authorized by signature.  Upon completion when Mr. [redacted] came to pick up his truck he said that he did not agree to pay and he spoke to Toyota corporate and the items were be covered under some kind of factory good will warranty.  We made calls to Toyota on Mr. [redacted]'s behalf and were unable to find any coverage.
In an effort to maintain good-will our service manager discounted the price of the repair.  Mr. [redacted] paid the bill and took his truck.
We have documentation of all work authorized if needed.
Thank you,

Review: I took the vehicle in for a problem that was resolved by the dealer. Mr. G[redacted] was the service advisor and was very helpful. The mechanic showed me what was wrong with the vehicle. He had taken off some parts of the engine and showed me that some critters had built a nest. I received the vehicle back and the repair was completed satisfactorily. A day later I noticed there was a new crack on the windshield at the spot where the mechanic was placing the engine components. I took the vehicle in, showed it to Mr G[redacted], and he told me the mechanic did not do it. I told him this was no coincidence that where the mechanic was moving the engine components, the new crack was, and he agreed that they would help me with the repair of the windshield. They decided to pay half since there was some wear and tear on the windshield. They told me their windshield was $400 and my portion would be $200. After checking around, I found out that I can get a new windshield, installed, for less than $200. I called Mr G[redacted] and told him, he told me he would notify his supervisor and have him return my call. I did not receive a call back and called Mr G[redacted] back - he told me that the manager Mr Casum said if I wanted a cheaper windshield, I could take it somewhere else. I called Mr Casum and he told me that was their price it was no longer negotiable.Desired Settlement: I want Toyota owners to know what they could expect from this service department, and I believe they are responsible for the damage and should be liable.

Review: I have owned my 2007 Toyota Camry VIN # 4T1BE4[redacted]251 since July 2006. I bought it new. Everything was good until 2010.

On August 17, 2013 at 49,984 miles I had to pay $6,615 for an oil consumption problem at Oxnard Toyota. The short block had to be replaced without a warranty. See Invoice # 68**60. (I received a check from Toyota two years later in 2015 for the oil consumption rebate.) The car was maintained regularly through the months after the new motor was installed.

On July 26, 2014 at 62,176 miles there was an engine light problem. At Oxnard Toyota Invoice # 71**69 they diagnosed the engine light to be corrected by changing the mass air fuel sensor and by cleaning the throttle body for $602 which never corrected the problem. The engine light still came on after I left the service department.

On February 21, 2015 at 69,272 miles I returned to Oxnard Toyota because the engine light was still on with a howling noise in the motor. The service advisor suggested a deeper diagnosis and I gave him the go-ahead to fix it. See Invoice #73**09. Result: They replaced the spark plugs and alternator. The water pump was replaced for no reason. The technician said there was a small waterléak. Total cost $1,196.94. It was condensation from air conditioning, but they still changed the water pump.

On March 7, 2015 at 69,647 miles the transmission gasket was replaced for a suspected oil leak for S486.45. Invoice # 73**05.

On April 15, 2015 at 70,683 miles the axle seal leak was inspected. Result: Replaced seal for $400. Invoice # 74**88.

On April 27, 2015 at 70,974 miles the axle seal was inspected because it was still leaking. I needed to come back for an appointment. Invoice #74**23.

On June 27, 2015 at 72,852 miles I returned to Oxnard Toyota to change the axle seal because the technician improperly installed the seal. Engine light was on. The service advisor and mechanic recommended the gas tank be drained because they thought it was contaminated gas. (Gas additive was used.) Gas was clean from 76 gas station. Gas line was also shortened because they broke the gas line connection and improperly connected the gas line by using a rubber hose instead of an OEM snap connection after the tank was drained. $ 753.40 Invoice #74**38. Conclusion: After this was done at Oxnard Toyota, I, Nina Eide did not want to go back to this service department again because of the large oil leak at home under my car from the driveway to garage. I decided to go to another Toyota service department.

On July 21, 2015 at 73,019 miles at Ventura Toyota the service advisor and mechanic did a diagnosis on the car and they noticed a lot of problems with this car such as broken parts and bad workmanship from the Oxnard Toyota Service Department. I authorized Ventura Toyota to check all of Oxnard Toyota's work.

The Ventura dealer noticed that when Oxnard Toyota rebuilt the short block they didn't have the right adjustment for the valves. They were too tight. This is where all the problems started.

Therefore, the motor wore out prematurely so the Ventura dealer had to replace a new cylinder head which caused misfire for Cylinder No. 3. This is what caused the engine light to come on sporadically.

So I had to pay $ 6,857.36 at Ventura Toyota because they discovered that Oxnard Toyota did not build the engine correctly. Must see Invoice #450604 and speak with Service Advisor E[redacted]. His direct line is ###-###-####. Manager is aware of this expensive repair job.

I came to the conclusion that Oxnard Toyota needs to be investigated for their repair works. Also, the Ventura dealer was questioning the repair work that was done and questioning why Oxnard Toyota did the work that they did. Oxnard Toyota seems to lack good advisory service and mechanics' experience. Ventura Toyota will stand behind my claim.

Please review all of my invoices at Oxnard Toyota and Ventura Toyota. I had to pay Ventura Toyota $6,857.36 to fix numerous problems related to the improper installation of the short block at Oxnard Toyota. I would like you to investigate my case because I think I deserve a full refund between both dealers on this matter. Consider my request for a fair reimbursement of the excessive cost of repairing my vehicle.

Note: I have all the broken parts.Desired Settlement: I think I deserve a full refund between both dealers on this matter. Consider my request for a fair reimbursement of the excessive cost of repairing my vehicle.

Note: I have all the broken parts.

Review: When I was speaking with the sales representative [redacted] and the Finance Manager they guaranteed me that they would be able to give me 2.99% interest and a 72 month contract to finance the 2008 Toyota RAV4 Sport. Then I come back because it's been almost two weeks and they had not contacted me. Come to find out they couldn't do those numbers at all, not even close!! They're very best was 5.00% interest & 5 years, nearly double what they "Guaranteed Me." I also specifically told them that I only wanted my credit to be ran once, because I had already had it ran my credit to get pre-approved for a car loan at CBC Federal Credit Union and I didn't want my credit ran so many times that it would negatively affect my credit score. The finance manager assured me that it would only be ran once by Toyota Finance. They ran my credit almost 10 times!!! For the same vehicle!!! With Multiple Finance Companies such as Wells Fargo, Ventura County Credit Union, and Multiple times For Toyota!!! Almost half of the credit inquiries were all from Toyota finance. Why wouldn't Toyota continue to use the same credit report they had already pulled? Rather than pull my credit multiple times. It seems as though they did it on purpose to hurt me and my credit. They even ran my credit after I had already financed the vehicle through CBC Federal Credit Union. This has negatively affected my credit while and I am having difficulty purchasing a home because of what they did!!And to Top it all off, they did the same thing to my wife's credit score. Her name is [redacted]. Whatever the remedies are I want the same done for her as well.Desired Settlement: I've already financed the vehicle elsewhere so I don't need them to finance me. Even though I'm pretty sure using the words "Guarantee" in order to solicit one's financial services is Highly illegal. All I want them to do is to contact the Three credit reporting Bureaus(experian, equifax or transunion) or whichever one's they used and rescind their inquires. I only want to see One inquiry on my credit report from Toyota; same for my wife. I want them to repair the damage they did to my credit.
