I had my antique dining table refinished by this company. The product was returned without all of its original parts and with a defective finish.
I originally consulted this company in January, 2012 to have my great grandmother's 1800's tiger oak dining room table refinished. The product had the option of being extended, although I did not have original leaves for the extension. Two non-original leaves were provided, which I asked the owner to see if they fit, and if so, to refinish them, also. He later said they did not fit, but did not return them to me upon completion of the refinish job. Upon being expanded, an internal "spindle" was visible to support the new leaf. When the table was completed and dropped off in February, the business demanded additional monies than originally quoted, which we paid by check. We were told to place glass over the table, which we did, however, the table finish was still "tacky" and the finish quickly peeled off when the glass was later moved. The business demanded more money if they were to fix this. Additionally, the finish was bubbly, not smooth and has "runs" where the finish was not smoothly applied. Recently, when I had a carpenter come to provide me a quote to custom make a leaf to expand the table, it was discovered that the table was returned without the original internal spindle to support the leaf! I attempted to contact the business owner, however, his cell phone is "not accepting incoming calls at the subscriber's request" and the website is not longer in operation. This is a very expensive, antique family heirloom. Now the original parts are no longer in place, and the business owner who has them is nowhere to be found. This is not something that can just be replaced and I feel that the owner needs to be held accountable for the missing pieces and poor quality of work.
