DDS Dentures & Implant Solutions Reviews (%countItem)

I have been a client with Dental and Dentures Solutions in *** since 2013 I believe. I was unfortunate to have lost my teeth at the fairly young age of 41 due to inherited gum disease which required dentures. It took a lot of visits and some frustration to get them to fit comfortably, but eventually that was accomplished by the techs and lab.
In 2017, I had them redone to fit better with instructions to change my name stamped in them as I had it legally changed from my divorce. Then in 2018, I acquired an uncomfortable nick in the bottom denture. On examination I realized that my instructions of name change on the denture from 2017 was not done. I called to make an appointment to fix the bottom denture and let them know that the name had not been change as requested. They offered to fix the bottom denture for free for the mistake of not changing the name stamp. I was very happy with that and was informed that both would have to be remade.
A morning appointment to do the molds, then return in the afternoon for the finished product. On the first attempt, the fit was so crooked and there was quite an overbite that they had to re-do them again. I set another appointment for a week later. After a week of wearing the very uncomfortable dentures, as I work with the public and my appearance is important, I went to the dental office again. In the morning to get the molds, in the evening to get the finished product. I am about 20 to 25-minute drive one way to the dental office. The new dentures have such an overbite that my entire thumb fits between the top and bottom when I close them together. Again, I wait another week and come back to do this all again while trying to hide and not slur my words with the huge overbite. The following week, I do the mold and come back in the afternoon. These dentures look as if someone has taken them and forcibly squished them back from the overbite with a horrible fit too. Another appointment.
The next week, I repeat all this again. The dentist now says that the dentures are beyond repair and we start from scratch. Most of the techs, front office, dentist treated me like this is my fault and I am just an annoying patient. When I try to explain what the problem is, they shut me down and tell me there is nothing to be done, as this is the way they do things. One tech went as far as to bring up my history being extremely rude, which was not my mistakes, and throw it in my face until the dentist told her that the dentures were their mistake. I thanked him for that comment. And she changed her tune. This still didn't change the bad attitudes I was getting from most of the employees. So, here we go again. I seriously do not want to even be at this office anymore; I am so uncomfortable with the staff.
Mind you, during all these weeks, I do have a life that is seriously interrupted by all these visits, and the awful dentures I have no choice but to wear. I have not eaten anything even remotely solid in months and the bottom dentures still fall off midway through a meal. I have gone through at least $40 worth of secure denture gel and I am generally miserable, and my gums have sores all over them. I take the bottom dentures out the minute I get home and use salt water to heal my gums every single night for these months.
I come back the following week in the morning and we start from scratch. Ugh. It’s been over a month now and I just don’t talk to any of them unless I have to so that I am not belittled. They do the molds, etc. I come back in a few hours to fit them before the final. Around noon, I return to check the look of the teeth. They look great; I now come back again at 4:30. I return and am told that the heaters were never turned on and all the dentures were ruined. So now I start from scratch again and they are going to upgrade my dentures. What can I say? Nothing. More molds are made. And the techs are cold as usual. I make another appointment, while I'm still wearing the awful looking and horrible fitting dentures that look squished.
Another week, next appointment, I check the look, then come back for the finals. I tell them to please leave extra overhang on the dentures and we will take them down until they fit properly. Let me explain. The bottom dentures are not fitting because they are taking the lip off until the right side is completely flat. How would they possibly stay with nothing to grab on one side? So, the lab does as instructed. Me and one, actually nice, tech work it down to fit fairly well, even though I am tired and hungry, sick of being there, and want to go home. I make another appointment just in case they need more adjustment.
After wearing for a few days, they are rubbing bad and the bottom denture is extrememly thick. Easy fix. I go to the appointment and tell the tech what the problem is. She takes the bottom denture to the lab to get the thickness reduced. When she returns, they have taken the entire lip off the right side and now we are back to square one on bottom denture fit. Another appointment.
Another week of food under the denture every time I eat. Rubbing and sores on my gums for another week. The denture popping up and stabbing me in the gums when I try to chew for another week. Two buffet dinners with my company that I made excuses why I could not eat; I wasn’t going to announce that I wear dentures to strangers. Sneaking off to the bathroom every 2 hours to re-glue the denture just from talking. Putting off plans that require eating with friends for another week. And dreading going back to that office again.
Month 2 going into 3, I have another morning appointment, another mold, another return at 4. Battle 5:00- 5:30 traffic home again. So much wasted time and gas. I go to the appointment, get the molds, etc. Come back at 4. Sit in the waiting room until 4;30. Final get in the back and the denture is huge. No problem, the tech came shave it down to fit. She attempts to make it fit, sayi

DDS Dentures & Implant Solutions Response • Apr 04, 2018

Patient was refunded the full fee for services rendered on 3/8/18 and denture was remade for her. I have since spoke with the patient and offered a full refund for the dentures that were purchased in 2014. Patient stated she does not want a refund that she loves her new teeth. She does need a slight adjustment and is scheduled for this at no cost.

Thank you
