Review: We signed a contract for a new flat roof, replacing our old one on May 14, We paid 1/of the fee ($cash and $check = $500) and the balance ($500) was expected to be paid at completion of the jobWe were told that the supplies would be purchased that evening and we could anticipate the work beginning the next dayOn 5/15/we received a call asking for additional funds to cover increased costsWe refused and said that the company had what they anticipated they had asked for and we could discuss increased costs when the roof was completed and the company could produce receipts showing purchases
Daily, on the 15th and 16th we received texts saying they were comingOn the 17th, 20th,21st, we texted the company contact asking for him to contact us as we had still not received any indication of when the roofers were comingWe contacted a friend who is a contractor and had recommended this company to see if he knew why the company was not returning calls/text messagesOn the 22nd, the company representative called us back and told us his son was sick and his phone was inoperableWe were on the list to contact and the company was comingOn the 23rd, 30th, 31st we continued to try to reach this company and were not able to reach anyone or get any responsesOn 6/4, 6/and 6/we have sent texts to the roofer and several also to the contractorWe haven't heard from either one of them
We have another company who is coming to replace windows and the regular roof and we are really frustrated as all of this work was to be done prior to our vacationThey seem to have taken our money and given us nothing in returnThis is a lot of money for us and clearly we are very low priority4Desired Settlement: Put our roof on at the quoted price on the first weather appropriate dayOtherwise, return our moneyThey also need to attend a business class to show them the appropriate way to work with consumers
