Revdex.com In response to complaint # ***We"re sorry for any confusion that our customer had concerning the coverage terms of the extended service contract that was purchasedWe feel that using the Nissan endorsed plan is the most value for our customers as it is readily accepted
coast to coast by all Nissan dealersThe terms of coverage were the longest possible to match to the customer's driving habitsThat being said we will issue a check for the repair that was denied plus $We value the relationship and would hope that it will continueRespectfully,
De Cormier Motor Sales, Inc

Complaint Information:
text-align: left;" valign="top"> The complaint stated that our salesperson told the customer that an inquiry on their credit would not become part of their credit report until later on in the buying process. The salesperson was wrong because in fact each inquiry on an individual's credit history becomes part of that history. The salesperson has been counseled on this and it will not happen again. We are truly sorry for this and do apologize to the customer. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Respectfully, De Cormier Motor Sales, Inc.

I am rejecting this response because: If you look at the screen shot from the dealership service website attached, it shows that the service the dealership performed as per my invoice should have been included in the package, however the dealership charged me separately for this service of $199 which is outrageous.
The dealership changed the engine air filter without my permission and told me that it is the part of the package. And they failed to inform me what the 30k package would cover for the cost  The dealership should have explained line by line, what the price covers. They did not.
I went over all the details with the service manage and stated the costs that I should get back in credit of $370. I had expressed this concern in my first email to Revdex.com and also explained the same thing over the phone to the dealership service manager.
I would request the dealer ship to please refund my money for the services that should not have been performed on my car without my authorization.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Complaint Information:
text-align: left;" valign="top"> Customer is stating that he did not authorize us performing the 30,000 mile service however DeCormier [redacted] has the night drop envelope that has both customer signatures requesting the 30,000 mile service along with hand written complaints stating that the driver's tail light is out and to check that the brakes shake when braking on highway and an authorization in the amount of $500 @ 6:08 p.m. on 07/24/2015. Further documentation on work order atating that Mr. [redacted] was contacted by our service advisor @ 8:29 a.m. on 07/25/2015 confirming services that customer requested on said night drop envelope and then again customer was contacted @ 10:30 a.m. on 07/25/2015 for additional services including repairing driver's brake light, performing the all wheel drive fluid exchange service and machining the front rotors in order to remedy brake vibration at which time Mr. [redacted] authorized an additional $429.00. DeCormier [redacted] does stride to be very thorough in all aspects of our business with every customer we come into contact with and I can say with confidence that the customer listed above was handled in the same manner.

Review: We purchased an extended warranty on our used 2007 Nissan Altima in 2010 after purchasing the vehicle after a lease. The salesman told us we have the contract until 120,000 miles of 96 months. The problem is no one told us the contract started in 2007. Now our contract is expired unbeknownst to us. There was no communication to us that it was expiring soon, and that the contract started in 2007.We feel that we were deceived . After looking at the original contract, there were two lines in very tiny lettering that stated when the contract started. We would like the contract to be extended. The owner just offered us another contract for 1700 dollars.Desired Settlement: We would like an extension to our no expired warranty.

Review: On November 20, 2013, I went to DeCormier because the service light came on the dashboard of my 2002 Nissan. They took my vehicle in for inspection and diagnostics. The first thing they suggested was wrong was the thermostat. I told them it had been replaced a few months ago, and my car was not overheating. A little while later they came back with a spark plug with a partial stripping at the end of the plug only. They continued their diagnostics, which took nearly two hours. The final diagnosis was that the coolant level was low and it was leaking into the combustion chamber, and they would need to replace the head gasket, at a cost of $1,758.00. I was shocked because my car was not overheating, and the coolant level was full. My auto has been driven only about 78,000 miles. I went home in a rental car and thought about this. The next morning before 8 a.m. I called to tell them not to do any work, that I wanted the car back that day, and to get it ready for me to pick up. Meanwhile I called my usual auto maintenance company, [redacted] in [redacted], and made an appointment for another opinion. DeCormier had my car ready for pickup around noon on the 21st, and I picked it up. It took 4 hours to get it ready. They told me not to drive it until I had the work done that they recommended, as it was unsafe. I drove it to [redacted], and their technicians found nothing wrong with the coolant level or the head gasket. They found the spark plug had been tampered with to look faulty. It took only a few minutes to determine this, not two hours. They did find the fan belt was worn to a dangerous point, which they confirmed with DeCormier, who said they knew about that. DeCormier was willing to do unnecessary work at a high cost of over $1700. They lied, tried to invent some kind of fault, tampered with a part, tried to steal from me, and were negligent in letting me drive away with a dangerous driving situation. The public should know about these kinds of practices.Desired Settlement: Inventing a problem in order to steal from the customer is a horrible thing to do, and the public should know about these business practices. Since the cost to me was a minimal diagnostic service, I cannot claim a monetary settlement. I wish I could because I want the public to know about this. Putting a "black mark" against this business is the least I can do and hope it will help someone.

Subject: ID [redacted] DECORMIER MOTOR SALES

Hello [redacted],

This is in response to [redacted]'s complaint against Decormier Motor Sales. Ms. [redacted] came in with her 2002 Nissan Sentra with a Check Engine Light on after having woork done at [redacted]. Upon inspection our scanner showed codes for overheating and misfire, the tech also notice coolant low. To check the misfire the tech wanted to remove cylinder 3 spark plug in which appeared to be have just put in from the other garage. The spark plug was crossthreaded in and we had to extract the plug. When we fially got the spark plug out we were able to see inside cylinder where we found coolant leaking into the cylinder due to faulty head gasket. We then informed customer of the issue of the other garage crossthreading spark plug and that the vehicle would need a headgasket. Ms. [redacted] declined to due headgasket and brought it back to original garage that put plugs in. I'm not sure what they did to vehicle but I'm certain that the headgasket is needed to fix the car correctly. If they put a band aid on the problem by adding a can of stop leak or something, the problem will surface sooner or later after this complaint has been closed out. Thanks for hearing our side of this matter.

Response:

According to my usual auto care company, [redacted], the head gasket is intact; there is no evidence that there is anything wrong with it. The usual symptoms of overheating, low level coolant, and white exhaust are not present. Therefore, I maintain that DeCormier is incorrect in its assessment, and that wanting to charge me $1,700 for this repair is outlandish and excessive.
