D.E. Duffey & Sons Incorporated Reviews (2)

June 28, 2016I am responding to your today's Email covering D.E. Duffey & Sons, Inc. letter dated June 24, 2016.The agreement that Mr. Duffey alludes to for fuel oil delivery expired on December 31, 2012.I called Mr. Duffey November 12, 2015, confirmed in my November 13, 2015 E-mail, intructing him to terminate any future fuel oil deliveries and immediately, I immediately removed his identification tag and installed a plywood sign instructing Duffey's driver not to install any fuel in our tank. This sign was removed only after our new fuel oil vendor filled our tank.Throughout our past business relationship with Duffey it was their practice for their driver to leave each delivery slip with date and gallons delivered in our mailbox. Their monthly invoice via USPSmail then summarized all the delivery details. No delivery was made, or a ticket left by the driver or an invoice mailed, after the November 12, 2015 termination. Duffey never contacted me about an alleged accidental delivery or an offer to pump it out. I question the quality and ethics of D.E. Duffey & Sons Inc. business practice on this matter, including that without any documentation, attempting to blame the customer for their apparent inept handling of this matter. We do not owe nor will we pay $222.95 plus finance charges. Should I receive another D.E.Duffey & Sons invoice, I will file a lawsuit to recover all costs to have an independent consultant repair my credit rating, plus any attorney and court related costs.Regards,

July 5, 2016Dear [redacted]:Thank you for giving AmeriGas Propane, L.P. (“AmeriGas”) the opportunity to again respond to [redacted]’s complaint. We have further investigated the allegations and provide the following response based on our findings.During the months of December 2015 through March...

2016, we were not able to read [redacted]’s meter. We did however attempt to read the meter on the following dates:• December 16, 2015• January 20, 2016• February 17, 2016• March 16, 2016Unfortunately, we were not able to access the meter due to not having the proper code for the security gate. Therefore, the invoices were billed using an estimated usage method. On April 20, 2016 we were able to gain access and an actual meter reading was performed. The high meter reading indicated our estimates for the previous months were too low compared to the actual usage. Thus, this caused the April bill to be much higher because it included the propane which they were not charged for in the prior months. We value our customers and trust this response address [redacted]’s concerns. In light of the foregoing, AmeriGas reasonably considers this matter closed. If you have any questions or require further information, please feel free to contact me.Sincerely,Michele OCustomer Advocacy Specialist
