De Falco Towing

Review: My vehicle was in an accident at the end of February 2015 in Monroe Township. The car was totaled. The car was towed to De Falco towing. I was advised at the time, the towing bill was $1,000. At this time, an investigation was begun by my insurance company, [redacted] as to whether they would be able to cover this claim. An agreement was made with Victoria of De Falco that if we paid $500.00 upfront she would allow access to the car and stop the storage charges until the claim was settled. She also advised upon the insurers payment she would refund us the $500.00. By no fault of mine, [redacted] only arrived at a decision last week (4/30/15) that the claim would be covered and De Falco would be paid $1,300. Upon advising De Falco, Victoria is now denying the agreement and claiming that she is due storage charges from March 4, 2015 until now of approximately $4,000.00. There was no time limit stipulated on our agreement and as she advised me today, I have no choice in paying her. as the payoff to the car's lien holder will not be paid until this is settled. I feel this is a threat to encourage payment. I feel this is terrible business practice and advantage taking of well meaning customers.Desired Settlement: De Falco should accept the $1,300 payment and refund the $500.00 as agreed.
