Review: False Diganostic by Company Technician [redacted]
My Air-Conditioner Stopped working on 9-08-13. After examining several business's on-line, DeHart was at the top of list. I called DeHart, the technician on call said, that the repair would be Double the normal rate because it's Sunday. On Monday 9-09-13, I called DeHart at 8am. The Technician ([redacted]) arrived at 1pm. [redacted] inspected my unit and said the following: Ihe IBM (Motor) has burnt out causing the Control Board to Fail. [redacted] said that he did not have the parts, He would have to submit the Invoice to the office so the parts could be ordered. [redacted] gave me a copy of the Invoice. The Invoice stated the following: 1 Rescue IBM(Motor)-$425, 1 OEM Control Board-$404. Diag-$59. I payed the $59 fee. I immediately called another Air-Conditioning company. The technician arrived @ 5pm the same day. The technician said that I needed a Cupacitor(sp). The technician cleaned my unit replaced cupacitor for $200. The representative for Dehart called later with the $425-IBM, $404-OEM Control Board totaling $829. I asked for the Manager who's name is [redacted]. I told him that his technician [redacted] over inflated my estimate and that my unit was repaired for $200. He was not Apologetic, he asked who a what was done to my unit, for which I declined to answer. I stated I wanted my $59 inspection fee returned, He said no, stating that he did not know if the diagnostic [redacted] gave was Incorrect.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of my Inspection Fee, and that this incident be investigated, posted and published, so this will not happen again to other Consumers.
