Review: I went into de la mer salon for a consultation regarding a chemical hair treatment called the American wave. This treatment was intended to make my hair curly. After the first week, my hair fell completely straight. Since I was away on vacation at the time, I kept in touch with an employee at the salon until I was home and able to see them in person. When I got home 3 weeks later, I complained and requested to see the stylist. When the stylist saw my hair a week later, she agreed that the chemical treatment did not work and would call the company to find out my options. She never called the company and almost three weeks passed before I decided to call her because she never got back to me. At this point I wanted a full refund because my hair was ruined and the customer service at the salon was horrific. I was told I was going to get a call back from the [redacted] and I waited a week to hear from her. She denied me any refund. When I asked to speak to the [redacted], she refused and said she would relay the message. Two weeks passed and I heard nothing. So I decided to go into the salon and speak with the [redacted] myself. Again, I was denied but while trying to work out something with the [redacted] came by and joined into the conversation. She was unprofessional, rude and inconsiderate. The worst experience I've ever had at any company! She walked away from me, rolled her eyes at me, interrupted me, and worst of all, LIED TO ME. I found out that I should have received paperwork on this chemical service that included all the precautions, risks and information on the chemical hair service. I was supposed to sign this contract and I never even received it or the information on it. I have horrible [redacted] and I told the stylist that I need to use special shampoo and conditioner during the consultation and she informed me that would be okay. I then find out that a possible reason why the treatment did not work was because of the sulfates in my hair products, BUT I WAS NEVER TOLD I COULD NOT USE THEM! They all lied and said I did not need to sign any information but a worker at that salon told me differently. This was a $285 hair service and not only did it not work, I was not debriefed on any possible risks because of the chemicals, the entire situation was handled unprofessionally from returning calls to actually speaking with me in person. Their customer service was nonexistent.Desired Settlement: I believe the salon should take responsibility for not giving me the proper information I needed when deciding to go through with this chemical service. I would like a full refund for what I spent. I would hope to receive an apology for the inappropriate behavior but I am not counting on it, given how unprofessional they were when I spoke to them and tried to settle everything.

Review: I went to the salon to receive an updo for a wedding that was going to take place that day. I received the service but within 15 min of leaving the entire left side of my hair fell down. I was able to pin it back up but buying bobby pins but as I was on my way to a wedding I was unable to return to the salon as it was over 30 min from where I was staying and I did not have transportation until we were leaving to the wedding. I called the salon the next day as I had a scheduled appointment for a hair cut and was told I would get a call back from the [redacted]. To date I have not received a call. Furthermore, I attempted to dispute the charge with my credit card company and they advised since I signed the receipt there was nothing more they could do. This happened on September [redacted] and the [redacted] still has never acknowledged this complaint via phone. I have photos that are time and date stamped to show the problems with the work.Desired Settlement: I would like a 50% refund of the $85 I paid as they only had the right side stay up. A phone call back would have been acceptable at the onset to understand the inconvenience and embarrassment of having my hair fall and look a mess at the wedding but now I feel 50% back would be fair.

Review: I went in to the Salon to have my hair colored- [redacted] was the colorist- I asked for heavy blonde high lights and walked pink, orange and brown hair. I called the [redacted] to complain and request my money back and she refused, wanting the same girl to re-do my hair. When I said no she wanted someone else to do my hair. If this salon hires someone that makes pink hair why would I want anyone else their to work on it either, I wanted my money back so I can go to a place that can do it correctly.Desired Settlement: I paid $250.00 which is excessive for hair dye to begin with, and would like to have that reimburst.
