Dealers Choice Chip & Dent Reviews (%countItem)

We took our 2015 Nissan Altima to Dealers Choice for repairs the week of September 24th, 2018 because a very good friend recommended them. They gave us an estimate and said they could get it right away so we decided to go ahead and have them do the repairs. Dealers Choice told us that it would take between 7-10 days to complete the work. After 7 days they hadn't even started on the vehicle and said that the insurance company was holding up the claim. We called the insurance company to find out what was going on and the insurance company said they hadn't received any supplement estimate from Dealers Choice. The representative from the insurance company gave me her direct number so Dealers Choice could contact her directly. We immediately called and gave Corey her direct phone number. After this situation we realized that this could be an issue so we started to call Dealers Choice more often to check on the progress of the vehicle and kept in touch with the insurance company. When we would call Dealers Choice, Corey would tell us either "I was just getting ready to call you." or "Oh yeah. The part just showed up." We thought it was pretty amazing that every time we called the part had just showed up or they were just about to call us.
It was October 25th, 2018 before we finally got the car back. Before leaving the parking lot we noticed marks on the front bumper from what Corey said was the stand so he buffed it out right away. Upon starting the car, the outside temperature was showing -40 degrees. Corey said that sometimes the sensor just needs to be reset so he unhooked the battery to reset the sensor. It was still reading -40 so he said we would have to drive the vehicle and if it wasn't fixed to let him know and he would order the parts. He would also have to submit another supplement to the insurance company. Two days later we contacted Dealers Choice to let them know that the sensor was still reading -40. Corey told us to call back in three days to see if the parts had come in. Of course when we called the parts were not in yet and Corey said they were coming from the Nissan Dealership and should be in by the end of week and he would call us. That following Monday we called Dealers Choice and Corey was "just getting ready to call us because the parts just arrived". Later that week, they had time to put the parts on so we took the car to Dealers Choice so they could install the new parts. This whole process had taken about 6 weeks from start to finish.
Three months later the temperature sensor is reading -40 degrees again. We called Corey and told him what was going on and he said he didn't know if it was under warranty and he may have to charge to fix the problem. My girlfriend and I talked about it and called right back and told Corey that it's most likely the sensor. He told us that he would call the Nissan dealer to see if there was a warranty and to call him Tuesday or Wednesday the next week. We called him Wednesday and he told us that he was waiting on the dealership to call him back but to go ahead and bring the car in so he could look at it. I asked him if Friday would work and he said that yes to go ahead and bring it in THIS Friday. We show up on Friday and Corey says that he thought he told us next week and he said he couldn't get us in because he had too many vehicles in the garage. I asked if perhaps he had meant NEXT Friday and he said that no he probably told us this Friday. He decided he would take a look at it in the parking lot. He was gone less than a minute and came back and said that the issue was probably the plug he had put on it and that he was going to order the parts and to call him Tuesday or Wednesday. After our last experience with Dealers Choice, we decided to take a look ourselves. Upon investigation we discovered that the connector was never replaced. They had done a horrible repair job with electrical tape and the wires were still exposed! The sensor hadn't looked like it had been replaced either there was dirt in the connector which should take awhile to get dirty and there were numbers worn off the sensor. We called Dealers Choice to talk to Corey about this awful repair. Corey told us that he "went above and beyond" for us. He said he never told us he replaced the wiring and that he only replaced the sensor. In our conversations prior to this he had led us to believe that he had replaced either the wiring or the connector and the ambient air temperature sensor.
This was the last straw. We will NEVER go back to Dealers Choice. They don't stick to their word. They don't call you back when they say they will and they do low quality work. I wish I could post pictures of this wiring repair. It concerns me what they did that I cannot see or hasn't shown up as a problem yet. We will be doing the repair our self. We would NEVER recommend Dealers Choice to ANYONE.
