We received your letter dated October 22, on October 25, This letter makes a remark about a previous notification about this matter that we have no knowledge ofWe also received another letter from your office regarding this matter today November 4,(Copies attached)
Mrs*** * *** is a dear customer of us, she was referred to us by another dear customerMrs*** had been in our location many times prior to purchase of her vehicleOn the day of purchase of this vehicle Mrs*** examined and test drove this vehicle and decided to purchase itWhen this vehicle left our dealership it ran very good, she was very happy and there were no leaks in this vehicleWhen Mrs*** complained about fluid leak from this vehicle I advised her to bring the vehicle into us to be checked by our mechanicUpon examination by our mechanic it was clear that damage to Rack-and-pinion was done either by being bottomed out on a yellow hard object or by hard object like road debris being picked up by moving vehicle tricking and damaging the rack-and- pinion componentYellow paint visible in scuff marks under the vehicle
We have no doubt When vehicle left our dealership had no damage to rack-and - pinion as vehicle steered perfectly otherwise she would not have purchase the vehicleEven though vehicle is sold As Is and customer does acknow ledge that, as a goodwill gesture to a dear customer we offered to pay 1/of cost of parts and labor for a new rack-and-pinion but she refused to take advantage of this offer
This offer still stands and we will extend this offer until November 15' as an additional goodwill gesture to our dear customer
Please consider all circumstances and remove any negative markings you may have reflected in our recordsWe have been doing business at this location for over years, we understand customer satisfaction is the most important aspect of our businessThis is the first unfortunate customer complaint we have had in recent memory or the only one that I rememberWe hope customer will accept our goodwill offer so we could resolve this matter amicably
