Dean Contracting

Review: I contacting Dean Contracting to look at a flashing problem on the roof. After examining the problem [redacted] (owner) determined that I needed a new roof which cost over $8000.00. The roof came with a warranty. Now the roof is under 2 years old and I have a leak. I contacted the Dean Contracting and spoke with [redacted]. I told him of the problem and he stated that he would be over that Saturday. Saturday came and went and he never showed at which time I called him again. He told me that it was not his problem, he did not have time to deal with the issue, told me to contact a building inspector and hung up on me. My daughter then called and he told her that he would be over this Saturday. He was extremely rude to my daughter and also hung up on her. This Saturday came and went....NO CONTRACT and I still have a leak on an $8000.00 roof under 20 months old.Desired Settlement: I would like the roof checked immediately. If he does not want to take the time to look at the roof I would like Dean Contracting to pay for another qualified roofer. At this time, I have water in the bedroom and I have no choice but to call another roofer. If another roofer is needed, Dean Contracting should be responsible for payment.

We received a complaint from [redacted] about a alleged roof leak. Even though ???? we were very busy at the time I did manage to inspect the roof. During our inspection nobody was home at the time but my work was on the roof not inside of the home. I will attest it was I who personally re-flashed the chimney with 30 plus years of experience and at the time and there were no problems occurring at this area. It should be noted when I talked to the customer on the phone there were no visible water drips from her ceiling and only old water stains. The chimney also has a ice and water barrier around it as well. I also informed the homeowner that there are un related issues causing her water stains. I then explained to her it may be the pointing of the chimney needed, and it may require a chimney cap and even a chimney liner. I also explained that I don’t hunt and peck when these issues occur and we should perform all of the tasks listed above to cure her problem. That was the last time I heard from the customer so I assumed she hired someone else to do the job..
