Complaint: I am rejecting this response because: MrJ [redacted] from Hodges Automotive statement is so emotional, unethical and unprofessionalI am saying this because he forgot that I am the customer who is paying for a service (regardless if the welfare or anybody else pays for it) and he shouldn’t be mentioned thisMrK [redacted] got paid to put brakes in my vehicle, and obviously the job was not done, because the vehicle didn’t stop and still don’t stop when I apply the brakes pedal onThis could lead to an accident or hurt somebody else without my intentionThe fact is “the job was not done” I am not looking to get anything for freeAll I want from this shop is to do it rightHodges Automotive never inspected my car for leakages because my car was not broken when I brought it to the shop Somebody was paying to make my vehicle reliable, but again, it was not broken, neither had a leak The breaks were working fine, all I wanted to have is new parts in my vehicle, and Hodges Automotive was paid to do soBut they didn’t As soon I got my vehicle back from Hodges Automotive, I noticed that something was wrong with the breaks as the pedal went all the way down, and the vehicle didn’t stopI immediately took it back to Hodges Automotive and informed Mr J [redacted] about it J [redacted] asked me to open the hood, and he looked at the signs on the brake boosterpaint, then he assumed that it was a leakage there, but that was the only time he told me that it could be a leakage, but he wasn’t sureHe told me that he needed to perform an inspection on my vehicle and he wanted me to pay for itWhich I answered to him that those signs on the brake boosterpaint have been there in my vehicle since I bought it, and I reminded him that I brought my vehicle to his shop to replace old parts by new parts; but not because it was broken, it was working fine! He insisted that I should pay for an inspection, in order for him to do anything to my car from that pointSo I reply to him: how can you do the break flush if it is a leakage in the break system? Because he charged me for that work done, but instead my vehicle’s breaks don’t work I haven’t done anything to my carMy car was parked in the garage waiting to be fixed/replace the engine for about monthsNow that engine got replaced I’ve been driving it, and seems like the break’s pedal are holding on better, meaning, there is not leakage as MrK [redacted] states, it was only a matter of a bad job performed in my vehicle from Hodges AutomotiveSo obviously the breaks needed to be adjusted right, in order for my car to be safe, and I am not agree to pay for a job that was already paid for, but it was not done About the people who inspected my vehicle originally, and recommended all of this job to be done in my vehicle to make it reliable, it was not my choiceIt was the choice of the people who paid for it as well as how they paid Hodges AutomotiveI already knew what the problem with my vehicle was; all it needed was an engine replacementI have all the maintenance records performed on my vehicle to support my statement that my vehicle was in good conditionFor your information, $4,was paid total between you and the other shop by the people who recommended the job performed in my vehicle to make it reliableAgain it was not brokenFinally the engine broke up, and this time I paid myself for a rebuilt engine, just what my car needed since the beginningThis job was performed by a certified mechanic who works for Lompoc Unified School District This mechanic found out that the parts replaced in my vehicle that supposed to be new, never were replaced as it still have the old parts, that it’s probably why my car broke up this timeBut this issue is pending now, because this shop doesn’t even have me in their records when I requested it He also noticed that the break’s pedal was going all the way down when he drove my car for the first timeSo I told him about the issue with Hodges Automotive, and about MrJ [redacted] leakage statement, he looked at my car for leakage and another mechanics from LUSD stated that there is not leakage in my car at allSo that’s why I went to Hodges Automotive to ask them to do the job that was already paid forMy car was parked in the garage waiting to be fixed/replace the engine for about monthsAccording to some of displays on the walls at Hodges Automotive for parts and jobs performed warranty, my vehicle hasn’t exceeded the warranty on the jobs and parts performedSo I found very rude and disrespectful the way I’ve been treated by MrJ [redacted] Just to inform you, I am a War Veteran with deployments to IRAQ and AFGAHNISTAN, and currently I am still with the US Army, so, you have been disrespect me, as a Customer and as a Veteran, because I’ven bringing to you facts and statements from certified mechanics that are willing to testify about this issueAgain I haven’t done anything to My vehicle about the break system, the way Hodges Automotive did it, is the way that still isFor you to know, I have two more vehicles, models and and this 300,miles vehicle is going to be a gift to my daughter and I can’t no put her on an unreliable vehicle I am fixing it, little by little and it is going to be like new, and I don’t expect anybody to help me to accomplish that for free, as MrJ [redacted] is statingBy that said, I am the one who is wasting my time here, and not just my time, but money, and by restoring this vehicle I am finding this issues that supposed to be fixed, because they were paid to be performed, but never doneWhy should I pay Hodges Automotive, or somebody else for some work, already paid to be done in my car, but not done well? What kind of shop is Hodges Automotive when they advertise warranted jobs and parts, when they actually don’t warranty their job, neither their parts? MrJ [redacted] asked why until now I am bringing this issue, and the answer is like I stated before: I told MrJim K [redacted] of the bad job done to my car from his shop as soon as I took my car out of his shopI told him that day that he supposed to replace the brakes in my car, but he wanted me to pay for a full inspection of my car again, which I refused to pay because it had been already inspected, and I am not going to pay twice for the same car service also because my car was parked in a garage getting the engine replaced, and the confirmation of those two certified mechanics from LUSD that performed the engine replacement are the ones who are motivating me to follow up on the wrong business your shop did with my carThat’s why Honestly all I want is that Hodges Automotive fix my car brakes accordingly as they were paid forI’m not asking to get anything from that shop for free at all Very Respectfully, M [redacted]

This person is not allowed in my shopI had to ask him to leave because he is trying to get a free repair on his vehicleHe had his vehicle inspected by a different shop that recommended a rear brake job and a brake fluid flush, and instead of having them do the work, brought his 300,mile Honda civic to usWe informed him that he needed his master cylinder replaced due to a soft brake pedal and evidence of leakage by signs on the brake booster paintSince he already has exceeded the value to repair cost for his vehicle, work to welfare can no longer pay for further repairs.MrBretado was last seen in my shop November He filed his complaint against Hodges Automotive March I am wasting my time and a stamp responding to this complaint.J [redacted] President, Hodges Automotive
