Complainant [redacted]'s first several sentences state that our company sends out our RVs dirty, not thoroughly cleaned and that he picked up the RV dirty. customer picks it up. After the RV specialist went over the unit with [redacted], he then came into the office and signed the rental agreement upon pickup that has a segment that says "Inside and outside of vehicle returned cleaned...or a fee". He never said anything to us about anything being dirty as well. If he signed and accepted that he had to bring the vehicle back clean why did he bring it back dirty and not clean. Also, why did he accept it dirty? Moreover, we have a commercial cleaning company that we hire to clean our RVs every time they come back and when they are done, we inspect each of our units to make sure they are clean ins ide and out for the next rental. Similarly, in regards to [redacted]'s comments about the missing wheel cover and the "horrible condition" making it unable for him to come back in time, this is all on our check in and check out list. When the RV specialist was going over the entire RV with [redacted], there is an area on the list that he could have made a note that there was a missing wheel cover so we knew it was missing before he left. Next, in regards to the waste not being dumped, we check in the RV as soon as it gets back to make sure everything is returned the same way we sent it out. [redacted] returned the waste tank full and we had to send one of our employees to dump it at the location we usually do when customers don't return it dumped. Finally, in regards to [redacted] saying that he needed an extra day because he felt that the RV was not safe, we did not receive any phone calls from [redacted] stating this. If [redacted] could not go over 40mph, why did he not call us explaining this issue or go to the closest repair facility to get the vehicle looked at so he could continue his trip safely instead of spending an extra day driving 40mph. It is very unlikely that any truck route highway will allow you to drive at that speed, there are minimum speed limits on all highways.

Review: This letter is being submitted in response to Deangelis RV’s letter and to reinstate the dispute on my Citi credit account. I was appalled by the blatant fraudulent statements set forth by [redacted] in his response. It is clear that this is not the first time [redacted] has been through this process of wrongfully withholding customers’ security deposits.

First and foremost, when I picked up the RV from [redacted] on Friday April *, 2015 it was FILTHY! (I can provide affidavits from the other passengers attesting to this fact). Before we could proceed on our trip, we had to clean the entire vehicle ourselves which took us several hours. The bathroom was dirty; the inside of the drawers were all filled with grime; the floors were black with dirt; the mattresses were soiled. Every inch of the vehicle needed to be scrubbed down. I was so disappointed by the condition of the RV that I actually called [redacted] in the evening of Friday April [redacted] and complained about how dirty the vehicle was. It is unbelievable to me that after we complained to him about the condition of the vehicle and my passengers and I spent several hours cleaning the RV before AND after we used it, he would then turn around and say that I returned the vehicle dirty! From the condition of the RV upon pickup, I would guess that [redacted] does not ever have it cleaned. He states in his letter that he paid a $200 cleaning fee, however, he provides NO receipt that the vehicle was even cleaned after I returned it. Not only do I vehemently dispute the cleaning fee I was charged, [redacted] should actually reimburse ME an extra $200 for having cleaned the vehicle for HIM when I picked it up and it was filthy.

Additionally, his statement that the waste tank was not dumped is an outright falsity. I dumped the tank once in Hilton Head, South Carolina and a second time at the State Park in Connetquot, New York. Again, I can provide sworn affidavits from my passengers that this in fact was done. So, while [redacted] claims that the tank was not dumped and charges me a $150 fee, he does not provide any evidence that there was in fact waste in the tank, or that he was forced to dump it. Such evidence would not exist being that the RV was completely dumped in Connetquot right before I returned it.

Moreover, the wheel cover [redacted] mentions in his letter was missing from the time I picked up the RV. He charges me a $225 fee stating simply, “that’s how much it cost.” [redacted] provides no evidence of when this wheel cover went missing, nor does he provide a receipt of the actual cost to replace said wheel cover.

In fact, the only receipt [redacted] does provide is for $32.04 he spent on gas, for which I am willing to pay. Additionally, he provides a copy of a $35.00 summons for which I am also willing to pay.

Finally, with regard to the extra day for which [redacted] charges me, it must be noted that this RV was in such horrible condition that we could not safely drive over 40 MPH without the entire vehicle shaking! Thus, a trip that normally should have taken much less time, took an extra day to complete safely. Additionally, we could not begin our trip on time, being that we spent half a day cleaning the RV first.Desired Settlement: Credit $932.96 back to the credit card
