Buyer Beware
Years of waiting and never receiving a product or honest updates on progress is simply unacceptable. Try as you will but there is no viable excuse for this. I was informed of possibly a year wait time, 1 year is not multiple years. The rest of these reviews are spot on. At this point I’m confident there was no intention of ever delivering me a finished product. This guy is a clown, buyers beware

Love my New mailbox from Dean! Gorgeous and worth the small wait!

Dean doesn't deliver
Dean is a total scam. The different addresses of his custom mailbox company are either forest or beach front. If the latter...he has taken your money and bought a boat. We have been waiting 5 years for what we ordered. That 300 is gone...and so is yours.

Dean's Custom Mailbox's, 2 years and coming up on six months for my purple dragon mailbox. No mailbox. Lots of excuses. I would be told I'd have it by my birthday, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas...you name the month and it has come and gone. This isn't the first mailbox I bought. The first one came within a reasonable time period and was unfortunately destroyed by a storm. Knowing what I know now, I should have just had someone in the Philadelphia area craft me one. I don't know when or if I'm getting the damn thing. Time to contact the North Carolina Department of Justice like the comment above mine. I don't understand why I have to fight for an item I paid for in a timely manner. He has my money I want my purple dragon mailbox. I'm getting tired of this...

ordered a custom mailbox in Nov. 2014. Despite numerous e-mails STILL no delivery as of May 2016!11/21/14 - ordered & paid $435.00 via paypal, for a custom mailbox as a gift. Mr. [redacted] has continually assured me the "awesome mailbox" will be delivered. I have the numerous e-mails saved.Twice when the date promised for delivery has past, Mr. [redacted] has claimed he was hospitalized. I sincerely hope his health is improved however, I am tired of 18mos. of excuses!The last promised date of delivery was 4/27/16. When that passed I e-mailed again to be told he was again in the hospital but should be out in 12-14 days. I asked my money be refunded until the box was ACTUALLY completed at which time I would pay for the box. I have had no response. Desired SettlementAs Mr. [redacted] assured me (numerous times) that he will either deliver or refund the price of box, I suggested he refund and, when the box was delivered I would resend payment. This is still (to me) the most fair conclusion to both of us.Business Response Customer is aware I have been in the hospital and will get this rectified in the next 30 days. Consumer Response I agree to give another 30 days to complete my mailbox. If the box is not received by June 4th 2016, I will seek action thru Revdex.com, NC Division of Consumer Protection, NC Attorney Generals Office, & if needed, hire an attorney. I truly hope I receive the box & avoid any further stress on both my part and Mr. Dean's.Final Business Response It will be taken care of as stated in the next 30 days.

product was ordered in May of 2014, and not delivered as of September 24th 2016We ordered the mailbox with the understanding it could take up to a year for delivery, After the first several months past we emailed the company and ask for an update on progress - the reply was be patient please. We have continued to be patient but in touch with the company many- many times. We have gotten excuses like to much rain could not work, a couple of health problems, we sent him prayers of speedy recovery. Dean, many times told us we should have the mailbox that is to be a replica of a 1956 Chevy Nomad in two weeks give or take. We believe that after two years and four months, the time frame of two weeks give or take has been abused. We feel that a full refund is in order. We made the order in May 2014, paid in full one payment of $245.00 on a [redacted]. Thru all correspondence we feel we have gotten the run around and am asking for your assistance in correcting this problem.Thank YouDesired SettlementWe are looking for a full refund of $245.00 at this way to far out of line time frame for delivery-and far to many excuses.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: [redacted]This mailbox was a bit more than anticipated in design and this took longer than normal and this why my site says a year or more and specially on new custom designs. I ordered a mailbox and paid $315 by check dated 1/11/13. As of this date, I have not received the product nor has a refund been offered.I have emailed [redacted] many time over the last 18 months and received a litany of excuses but no mailbox.Desired SettlementEither the "awesome" mailbox promised within 30 days or a refund with interest at 5%.Business Response Mailbox will be completed within 30 days. This is one of the hardest designs I have and hand make them by myself and they take time. My site clearly states a year or more on the harder complex design. Home page and about us page. Thank you and I will have this done ASAP.Consumer Response I will wait the 30 days as I said I would. Please advise [redacted] that my next stop is the North Carolina Department of Justice.Final Business Response As promised and as all other mailboxes ever ordered I will complete. Again clearly states the wait times can be extensive all over my site. When it arrives as every other customer you will love your mailbox as they are quite appealing.
