qualifying policy and wasn't eligible. In 8/2014, when we wrote the Auto insurance policy, we included the multiple line discount. That discount was included because policyholder was also going to purchase the Renters Insurance. Once the Auto insurance was issued, policyholder decided not to purchase the Renters policy until 10/2014. The discount remained on the policy, even though the Renters policy was not written until 10/2014. Policyholder received that discount technically for a few months when he wasn't eligible. In 1/2015, after receiving a bill for his Renters policy, policyholder called our office. He informed us that the renters policy should have been cancelled back in 11/2014; just one month after we had written it. So we backdated that cancellation to 12/2014; the 30 day maximum amount we are allowed to backdate.01/2015 the 2/2015 auto renewal was processed and mailed, and it did include the multiple line discount. It included that discount because it went out prior to the policyholder calling our office regarding the cancellation of the Renter's policy. Once the Renters cancellation was processed, the system removed the multiple line discount effective 2/2015 and sent out a bill for the $51.69. Even though the Renters policy was cancelled effective 12/2014 the discount was not removed from the Autopolicy until 2/2015. So again he was receiving the discount for a few months when in reality, he wasn't eligible. The $51.69 is the amount due from the removal of the multiple line discount from the 2/2015 to 8/2015 policy period. We did a lot to accommodate this policyholder. He received the multiple line discount when he wasn't eligible and we backdated the cancellation of his Renters policy at his request. Just because he pays the entire 6 month premium ahead, does not mean he can make changes to the policy or lose discounts and not be responsible for that additional amount due. The balance due of $51.69 was paid over the phone by the policyholder on 6/04/15.

Review: Made a contract with state farm for 6 months insurance state far quoted myself for an amount . I spoke with the agent and she advise me that I would not be getting a multiple policy discount since I had cancelled 1 of the policies. I agreed with it she told me the amount that was gona be due for the 6 months back in january. my new policy started in feb 26 to aug 26. I paid it off for the 6 months the amount that we agreed on the same amount that they sent me a bill for. now 3 months later I get a bill for $51 dollars because apparently the quote she gave me did include a multiple policy discount . which im not entitled to so they want the difference ,. I spoke with the agent and told her in the contract we made she quoted me a premium that did NOT include a multiple policy. and I paid it off for six months . now they telling me that unless I pay it thyere going to cancel my insurance which is been paid until Aug 2015.Desired Settlement: I paid the full 6 months the exact amount they quoted me and what the contract called for . outcome is is been paid for waived the $51 that they made a mistake on quoting me.
