During an inspection of your apartment yesterday (January) several issues of concern and/or lease violations were found First, evidence of someone continuing to smoke in the apartment was found. The back window was open and a can with butts in it
was found under the windowThis was documented in photos and mentioned to you in person on site. Not only is smoking not allowed, and you have been warned several times previously, keeping a window open in the winter is unacceptableAdditionally, a space heater was found running nearby the open windowA space heater is a fire hazard and a lease violationThis was mentioned to you on site Also, sliced peaches were found on the floor next to the cigarette can in an effort to absorb the smell of the smokingYou have mentioned issues with bugs, and I point to this practice of leaving pieces of fruit on the floor as a major issue with this problem. Leaving food out like this, and in the sink, attracts bugs. No amount of treatment I have done in the apartment will work if you continue to leave food out to attract the bugs This envelope includes another copy of the letter previously hand delivered and emailed to you dated January that outlines the process for you to end your lease and move out of your apartment.
