are no refunds or exchanges. This is due to the manufacturers needing up to 12 weeks to make the special dresses. [redacted] brought her two bridesmaids into our store and both placed a deposit on a dress, [redacted] on 04101/16 and [redacted] on 04116/16. The balance on each dress was paid for when the dresses arrived including additional alterations. This is a case where the customer chose the wrong size and style dress for one of her bridesmaids. Our contract has the customer choose the size and color after reviewing a size chart for the dress they are ordering and write it in their handwriting on the contract to confirm since they know their body best. When the dresses arrived, one bridesmaid fit well, she was a size 6. [redacted]'s dress was a bit too small for her and after alterations she looked good. The bride, [redacted], claimed it was defective; however this is not the case. All our manufacturers stand behind their product and we do too if something was not made correctly, a principal of our business for the last 38 years. Simply stated, she was not happy with the fit of the dress. We were able to alter the dress for her body and it looked beautiful however some people are never happy and it was in our best interest to refund her all her money, not only the deposit but the total of the dress including the alterations that were done on both dresses in good faith. Why she is claiming she needs dresses is beyond our understanding. All she wanted was to get her money and go elsewhere to find something and we accommodated her request.
