Review: Dr. A[redacted] was told me to come back for a biopsy but didnt appear confident she knew if it was becessary. When scheduling I clarified twice that I was scheduling a biopsy and only a biopsy as I did not have the time to take off work if it were not necessary. When I arrived two assistants informed me, prior to looking at the area in question that a biopsy was risky due to the location. This had been determined before I was seen. Dr A[redacted] immediately came in asked why I was here and confirmed a biopsy would not be done. (again not even looking at my ear, as this had already been decided) After asking if I was here for anything else, which I made clear on the phone I had no need for any other appointment, Dr. A[redacted] said the appointment would not be submitted as if it didn't happen, and I left within 5 minutes. Months later I receive a bill for a that date in which NO SERVICE AT ALL WAS RENDERED. This doctor clearly either scheduled me for a biopsy and did not realize her mistake until that morning or she purposely and unethically scheduled me for a service that was not needed just to get the money for an office visit. After numerous calls, no attempts of resolution have been made.Desired Settlement: At the very minimum the appointment should be withdrawn, the bill reversed, and my insurance refunded for their portion. The longer it takes to resolve, I should be compensated for my gas and PTO used, as well as the time I have spent making numerous phone calls and sending emails. Again, due to error or unethical practice, this doctor is trying to unlawfully bill me for services t g at never occurred.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I was seen by Dr. A[redacted] in the wexford office for a spot on my nose. While I was in there Dr. A[redacted] had asked if I had ever previously had a skin exam done and I said no I haven't, she asked if it was okay with me if we did that as well as examining the spot on the nose I said "sure why not". Little did I know what was hiding on my back. After a very thorough examination from my head to my toes she explained that the spot on my nose was a benign spot but that she wanted to address the spot on my back by doing a biopsy. It was rather painless and quick and in about a week I was getting the call that the spot she found and removed was a early melanoma and because they caught it early it was easily treated. She then went over everything with me of what my journey ahead would consist of. Everyone there was extremely helpful and kind. I appreciate Dr. A[redacted] spending the extra time and caring to look at my skin. If anyone is ever wanting to see a Dermatologist to care and trust their skin with I would personally RECOMMEND Dr. A[redacted] and her PA's at her office. I've put my trust into her and know I am in good caring hands.
