I went for lunch at Deck 84 on 7/10/2019 with my friend. We received great service from our server and the food was good. We asked to have our bill split. We both had two charges posted on our account. I called Deck 84 on 7/15/2019 and spoke to the General Manager *** Mr. answered my call and had an unpleasant attitude toward me, he was aware of my issue due to my friend calling the restaurant the previous day. Mr. did not let me talk and instead told me rudely to call my credit card company and dispute one of the charges because on his end - he had checked - and I was charged only once. When I was able to get a word in, I said to him that my credit card statement is posted and it is showing two charges. Then if he is saying I was only charged once, there must be a problem with the payment system that the restaurant is using. I also communicated to him nicely that he was being rude and sounded exasperated with me when I am the customer and I was having an obvious problem. He continued in the same rude manner to deny my statement and said he wasn't being rude, and just explaining. Mr. insisted that I call my bank and just dispute the charge. I explained that this was a big inconvenience to me. Mr. did not seem to care. Although this is a billing issue, this is more so about the level of service that this restaurant projects, in a situation when a customer has a problem caused by the business and how this problem is being handled.

Desired Outcome

Refund I would like the business to refund the charge of $57.78, which was unauthorized by me. I only authorized a charge of half of the amount, plus the tip.

As of August 1, 2019, I have not heard from the restaurant and I have not received a refund.
