Spoke with Steve at a "home show" and from our first impression we were impressed with prior work and job picturesRequested he come out and give a quote on the deck were wantedHe had no problem coming out and pricing the jobAfter getting several other estimates that were considerably cheaper we decided to call Steve to schedule the job, from then we NEVER saw him again until we had a complaint with the finished jobHis workers were the only ones we saw or had any contact withThey did a good job and worked in a timely matter to get the deck "done"I had to call them to come back and finish a handrail and railing over the steps because it was left off and anyone could have step off the side of the deckWas told the building inspector also required it as wellStill NEVER heard or saw Steve about the problemWe were told that someone would be out to stain the deck which was included in the priceWhen they did there was NO prep work, they stained over any and all pencil marks made during construction, they stained over the tags that were stapled over the ends of the lumber that was not removed and left several place with no stain at allI contacted Steve about the matter and was told "several people were out sick and they were working on another job"When I asked why they were starting on another job when they have not finished mine, the response was very rude and escalated into a heated conversationWhen Steve did FINALLY come out to see our concern in person he did come out to make the needed repair which seemed to be rushed and did just enough to receive final paymentThe wood of the deck has turned dark and stained in several places and the wood hand rails are beginning to warp in only a few monthsI would NOT recommend Decked Out of the Triad to anyone because we were VERY unhappy with our experience
