The complaint that was filed against our company has no meritWe were hired by Mr*** ***, the complaint makers late husband, in July of We were contracted to do kitchen countertops and new kitchen concrete floorsWe showed up to template the kitchen countertops, and install the concrete
flooringWe were informed that they no longer wanted to do the concrete floorsSo we wasted a trip with guys, not to mention that we had purchased all the material for the floorsThe pricing we gave them was for both jobsHowever, we were in an organization with ***, and so we agreed at that time to just do the concrete countertopsWhich we proceeded to do.We cast the concrete countertops to the specifications that were given to usWhen the countertops were completed, I sent *** a picture of the topsHe informed us that his wife was not going to like themI informed him that we needed to meet, in our shop, and that they would need to look at them and let us know how they wanted to proceed*** and his wife came to our shop, and looked at the topsNow, these tops were designed in a two color pressThe outcome makes it look like a holstein cow, for lack of a better descriptionShe informed us at this meeting that she was OK with us to proceed with the installationWe did install horseshoes that were provided by themI informed *** that because the shoes he gave us were beveled on the bottom, they would have to be installed upside downThis is due to the fact that the countertops are poured face downThis was done on purpose.We showed up to install the tops on or around July 22, We installed all of the pieces with the exception of one piece of backsplash, which was made in the reverse by mistakeWe agreed we would go back to our shop and re-cast the pieceWe recast the piece, and I informed *** that it was ready and that I would be happy to come and install it*** told me that then was not a good time, as he was dealing with a few health issuesI called him again later on, and told him again the piece was readyHe told me he would contact me about getting it put inThe piece in question is still sitting in my shop, on a shelf, ready to install. I had heard nothing from them until I received a facebook message with a number to call and contactI have, to date, tried calling the number several timesThere was no voice mail set up on it, so I was unable to leave a message. Now, the complaint says that cabinets were damaged and that mold was caused because of a broken seemThis is not the case, when we got to the property, there was evidence that the prior countertops and sink had leakedI informed *** of thisI also documented it with pictures on my cell phoneThe cabintes were the original cabinets from when the home was built, and were in very poor shapeAlso, the sheetrock showed evidence of prior moisture issues, and was prone to crumbleThis was pointed out to the owner as well.I still have the piece ready to install, and would be happy to install it along with re-grout the entire countertopI will not, however, refund anything for our workOur work was done correctlyAlso, I will not reimburse the owner for the replacement of cabinets, sheetrock, etcAs I mentioned, I am willing to replace the missing piece and re-grout her kitchenShe will have to determine where she wants to go from here
