Review: In April 2012, I paid Decor Graph to tint the windows on my cars. A couple of months ago, I got a ticket because the tint was too dark. A few weeks later, I received another ticket on a different car because the windows had been tinted darker than the VA legal limit. I told the police officer that we had the windows professionally tinted and he advised us to hold them accountable and get the windows retinted to comply with the legal limits. For several days, I attempted to call Decor Graph but received no answer. Finally, on a Saturday, I went to the business and spoke to the manager. She told me that the contract that I signed at the time of installation states the VA legal limit and replacement would cost me $75 per car. I told her that my contract made no mention of the legal limits but because I did not have it with me, I could not prove it. She then angrily told me (in broken English) that my decision is my responsibility. Instead of arguing with her, I went home, found the contract, and took it back to the business a few days later. The manager was not there, but I spoke to the man who did our installations. Through his young daughter (translator) he said that he told us when we bought the tint that our choice was illegal by VA standards. This is not true, and not even possible. At the time that we purchased the tint, only the installer and an elderly female employee was present. Neither of them speak English well enough to hold a simple conversation. My husband and I were asked to read the contract and sign. We thoroughly read the contract, signed, and paid for service. The contract makes no mention of legality. I showed him the contract and spent at least 10 minutes trying to explain before he got frustrated with me, raised his voice to say "$75", and walked away to make a phone call, leaving me at the service counter.Desired Settlement: I paid for a Decor Graph to tint my windows because I wanted to be legally compliant with a professional appearance. By choosing this business, I have received two tickets @ $170 each! I originally asked them to retint my windows at no charge. After dealing with two different employees that became highly defensive and confrontational, I now want them to pay for me to have another business retint my windows. If we do not reach an agreement, I will sue and also request a refund of tickets.
