For a long time I searched for an "honest" mechanic Dan and his shop was recommended to me Let me tell you I've relied on him for many years now I've utilized them for work ranging from major to minor on five different vehicles What you can count on always is the exact repair that needs to be done! No hocus pocus No overstatement or inflation of the work that is truly needed I trust him implicitly

I dropped of a snowblower for repair Prior to this I had discovered a service bulletin for the engine problem I was experiencing (Oil leak)
When I dropped of the machine, I specifically asked them to call me if the manufacturer wouldn't correct the problem at no charge They agreed to this, and after weeks went by I called and they said the gasket had come inI explained again that the gasket alone wasn't going to fix the problem, they needed to consult the service bulletin They denied any knowledge of the bulletin but agreed to check it out A month later I started calling and each time was told that there was one machine ahead of mine Figuring that if they are as busy as they claim, there can't always be just one machine ahead of mineThat one machine should have been repaired long ago So I called the manufacturer of the machine who put some pressure on them
Then they tell me that it will cost $ Never mind that they had promised to call me if there would be a charge (I do think the charge was NOT excessive, considering the cost of parts and labor)
When the worker went to load the machine on my pickup truck he noted the handle was loose and took it back in the shop to be tightened
When I got the machine home one wheel came off while I was unloading it because they had used the wrong pin the attach the wheels
After the lies and incompetence I experienced, I could not recommend this place to anyone

When [redacted] couldn't help me, they recommended Dan at Rocket Automotive. Dan diagnosed my problems, recommended against an unnecessary and expensive procedure that I didn't need, and fixed several problems. He could have recommended quite a bit of work on the transmission--which is why I came to him--but he told me it's probably not necessary. This has been the fastest, most professional, most courteous, and reasonably-priced experience I've ever had with a mechanic--anywhere--and I've traveled and lived all over the United States. Strongly recommended!
