a complaint with your office previously. It is clear that [redacted] believes she has been overcharged on the job I assisted with in July. That may be, but if so, it was not by me or my corporation.[redacted], someone who I was introduced to as a person with contracting skills, gave me a call and asked me to give him a hand with a job he had bid and contracted. At the time, I had a cancellation, so I happened to have the time to help. What started to occur to me was things weren’t quite as they seemed. I didn’t know anything other than what [redacted] told me, but I was concerned that at the end of this job, it would be my company that owes the tax and that is what prompted me to start to interact with [redacted] more. I insisted she was paying the tax owed on the job and we needed some sort of paperwork to substantiate this so, I wrote her a receipt. These taxes have already been reported and paid to the applicable entity.What I did not realize was that she had already given [redacted] money. $2000.00 is my understanding now. Those funds were not given to me and [redacted] did not share that with me. It is clear the customer believes me to be the one in error, but that is surely due to how much time she has spent speaking and listening to [redacted], who I believe may be a bit of a con man. Since this job, I have cut all ties with [redacted]. I do not believe him to be ethical or honest and I do think he is out hustling jobs he does not have the skill set to complete. [redacted]’s recourse is solely with [redacted]. I gave her a receipt for all money given to me and this matched what my invoices where. I am sorry for her experience; however, from my perspective it has nothing to do with me or my corporation Vandervert and Associates. [redacted] was not employed by me and did not represent me or my corporation.
I do not accept cash payments. The $2,000.00 check I never received. Please provide proof of payments and that checks were cashed.
