I am rejecting this response because: After being repeatedly told that the billing is done automatically by the computer and having my questions dismissed, I asked how I could speak to the owner to get an explanation and was simply told “you can’t”It was at this point that I raised my voice and said that I could complain through other channels, which we didI regret that she felt “threatened” by my reaction to her rude and dismissive serviceAfter giving them our business for one year, It’s really sad that They felt the need to treat us so dismissevely and charge us an entire extra months insurance and an additional days worth of rent even though we had thoroughly cleaned and vacated the unit days earlier

when she inquired and eventually desired to rent a storage unit from our facilityOur property is full and we had a space become available which made the client need to rent the space while she had still not moved up to our area yetShe subsequently secured a storage unit with a security deposit and first month's rent via phone and emailOnce she arrived to our area she then decided she did not want the unit.Our company policy requires a minimum one month's rent therefore she was only entitled to the security deposit, which was returned to her.Thank you for your time and we now consider this matter closedSincerely,Office Manager

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: I did not complete the rental process, which includes signing their contract per their email message of 11/3/when they sent the first copy of the rental agreement contract that they provided., They did not provide a copy or any information regarding their contract for me to review until after they charged my credit card. I believe I should pay for the days they held the rental unit for me, but since they did not reveal their terms until after they charged my credit card, and because I didn't sign the contract to complete the rental agreement, I believe I should not be held to the terms of the contract. I think they should repay me the funds for the rental except for the days that had passed since they started holding the unit for meuntil I let them know that I couldn't sign the contract. I sent a request for a copy of the quit-rental-request document they had me sign in their office to stop paying them further money, but they didn't reply and didn't honor the request (see attachment for a copy of the email).Sincerely,*** ***

The Tenant was getting aggressive and was told we would look into this matter.  The tenant was not listening when repeatably told we would look into this matter to where the mention of police was brought up because the CSR was feeling threatened.  After the tenant left we looked into...

this matter and discovered that the insurance that the customer purchased does not pro rate charges.  Our company pro rated the rent and charged the tenant the appropriate charge of $6.86.  We notified the the tenant and we consider this matter closed.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:  Deer Park Self Storage did not tell me prior to charging my credit card that if we did not complete the rental process, they would keep the full months rent.  I find it unacceptable that they clearly state in writing that the rental process would not be complete nor the rental space be available to me until their contract was signed, but in terms of refunding me for the days after I let them know that I could not sign the contract, they are treating it as if I had signed the contract and completed a rental process.Sincerely,[redacted]
