The Revdex.com complaint was initiated as both Deer Valley Apartments and their corporate office Sequoia Equities have a history in failing to respondThe complaint was started more than hours after my last contact with someone from either entityI allowed this time to hear from anyone on anything regarding the situation; however, this did not occurWhen there was no contact, I felt the next step was to contact the Revdex.com*** ***, from the corporate office, contacted me on Monday, July 24, 2017, at 8:05pm my timeShe stated she had sent me an email containing pictures of the condition in which the apartment was leftShe stated the email was sent around 3pm California timeI received her email on TuesdayThere were six photos attached to the email, which upon review I found three glaring issues withFirst, my move out date and inspection date were June 14, 2017, of which I was present for the inspectionIn the photos, there is a taped piece of paper listing the date and apartment numberThe date listed is June 17, The email from *** states the pictures were taken on the inspection date, but yet the inspection date was June 14, Secondly, there is a picture of the kitchen sink that was supposedly in my apartmentHowever, there is some type of white back splash or white woodwork behind the sinkIn the video I took of the kitchen sink, you can clearly see this back splash was not in my videoEither the picture they provided of the kitchen sink is in another apartment, or some type of construction work had already taken place in the apartmentThirdly, the metadata of the photos indicates they were taken on July 21, 2017, which is well after my move out date and after I had provided to the corporate office the videos I had taken when I moved outI provided only the videos to the corporate office as they definitively show the apartment condition along with the date and time they were taken without manipulation of the surroundings or data*** stated in her email response to me that the apartment complex would split the supposed cleaning fee paid and would reimburse me $80; this was also stated in the response to the Revdex.comHowever, no timeline was given for when the money would be returned to meThe statement that my account needs to be revised and reviewed is perplexing as I am no longer a resident and have not been for well over a monthI have no faith the money will be returned to meIt's rather disappointing they've chosen conduct their business and practices in this mannerThis could have easily been resolved had they responded to me one of the first two times I contacted themI am thankful I no longer live there and feel for those that do and what they might experience upon moving out

A second complaint WAS NOT filed, perhaps you should refrain from making allegations before knowing the factsThis actually constitutes libelThis alleged "second complaint" was in response to the response filed by *** *** in regards to the situationTo which the issues I addressed were conveniently ignored, such as their documentation of my inspection date occurring on 6/17/17, when in fact it occurred on 6/14/17, which I was present forThe fact that their pictures appeared alteredI'm thankful I moved out when I did because clearly this "business" is scandalous and dishonestI feel extremely sorry for the remainder of their residentsAny further communication from them, in any manner, will be considered harassment, and I will move forward with criminal charges

unit was thoroughly cleaned. In order to revise her final account statement the previous resident was asked to provide photos of her unit at move out and a copy of her invoice. The Resident didn't provide photos, but did provide 14 short videos showing recordings of the unit. In order to provide her more information I notified her that I would be in contact with the staff at Deer valley and review her videos. The previous resident submitted her complaint on 7/20/17 with the Revdex.com without giving us adequate time to review all her videos plus photos the Service Manager took when the resident moved out. The Service Manager provided me with photos in which the Community Manager was unable to waive her cleaning fee due to the condition of the unit. Deer Valley needed to hire a cleaner to clean the apartment. As a customer gesture the Community Manager has agreed to split the cleaning charge with the previous resident. The previous resident will be refunded $80 after the account is revised.

We have refunded this previous resident $80 dollars and are only charging her $80 for her apartment cleaning. She has cashed her check so I'm unsure as why she is filing another complaint. We had considered this matter closed as we have not received any other communication from her. We have been more than willing to try and find a resolution and I'm clearly confused as why this previous resident keeps filing a complaint. Thank you,

Review: We signed a 12-month lease with this Apartment complex since Dec. 2015 d/t proximity of everything including our family friend who is close to our unit. There were couple of issues in the past but it was rectified. However, since we were not happy with their unfriendly service, we decided to find another place to stay and was penalized with additional 1 month rent for not completing the lease agreement. We still have a $ 400 deposit that is due to be returned to us.

Just today, May 26, we received a statement showing charges including carpet cleaning = $90, "Charges for Cleaning Needed" = $ 110, "Interior Painting" = $50. We were there barely 5 months and left the unit the way it was when we walked-in with no stain in the carpet and charged us. I have spoken to [redacted], Assistant Manager and explained to us that this is "standard."

I was furious about this matter considering that we gave $ 1500 for 1 month penalty and to charge us extra that is NOT deemed necessary. We thought we were in the loosing end of this bargain.Desired Settlement: Refund our money (except for the water usage that the apartment is making payments).
