Deer Valley Homes uses substandard products, and substandard workers. My experience, I purchased my home In May of 2016. They do not use correct diameter plumbing so we had sewer gases backing up in the house and had to have that fixed. They can't hang curtain rods correctly, using only one screw to attach the rod to the wall and not in a stud. They use cheap paint that is not washable, they leave screws under the carpet when they install the marriage line. Light switch place are hung crooked, kitchen drawer handles are placed crooked. We had an outlet that kept blowing fuses and they tried to tell me it was because of the bulbs. I finally got an electrician and it was the wiring. They do not hire certified workers. They do not take pride in the workmanship. I do not recommend them, but if you buy inspect every nook and cranny before you sign off on it. You've got 30 days for interior work so really inspect everything..

My home is 32 x 74. It was built on 09/11/2008. It is a full sheet rock interior.
The floor tile was not properly installed and is seperating so that the sub floor is visible. The wall texture is very uneven and splotchy. The cabinets and cabinet doors are made of pressed paper and several of the doors have fallen off. ALL of the interior doors are improperly installed. The windows were installed with nails in the bottom of the sash causing rust spots. The electrical switches and outlets were installed with clip-on devices so no updated switch replacement is possible. There are no electrical boxes in the walls.
There were plumbing leaks under both bathroom tubs, the garden tub is unusable because the drain was glued on and can not be repaired. The toilets are of the lowest quality and the seats can not be installed level. The Bathroom sinks are of poor quality as well.
ALL of the trim and moulding is pressed paper.
The roof shingles will need replacing soon (6.5 years old). There are exposed nail heads and bare spots on the shingles.
The bathroom vent fans (both of them) were still taped shut at delivery.
I recently discovered that the bathroom vent fans exhaust into the attic space, THERE ARE NO EXTERNAL OPENINGS FOR THE FANS.

I expected a much better quality home. This has been a big disappointment.
I regret buying this place every day.
