Business response taken over the phone by Revdex.com staff
Josh indicated the repairs have been made

they said they would send us a check for the work that was never done

e-mail response obtained from the company as follows: Josh S*** ***Nov Not sure why this is continuing completed all of the repairs - We did complete the window wraps originally as specified on the attachment you sent-Roof was inspected and caulked where the leak was at- We have honored our warranty and owe no further involvement to this customer. They never paid their deductible which we waived for their troubles and they continue to call you and indicate we have some kind of obligation further in our contract which we don't. They have a gaf standard warranty. Go to gaf.com for said documentation as was told to them. The limited labor warranty covers them for year on our back for workmanship issues.Thank youJosh

This is like we are starting all over! This issue was already specifically addressedI have provided excellent evidence to the fact that this company has some liability hereThe South Euclid building inspector sees no damage to the roof three feet from the gutter as the company keeps insisting is thereThey keep blaming my husband, who was on a ladder in the middle of winter BECAUSE water was coming inHow could he have caused a problem that occurred before he went up to see what was going on?? I am asking that you not endorse this company unless they make good on their guaranteeThey need to refund us so we can have this issue fixed before the winter to avoid more water damage, and I would think you would agree that Final Touch is hiding behind their clause and not honoring the five year warrantyWe now have a brand new $front window and cannot have water leaking from the roofAgain, I am asking for a % refund to correct the issue, as all the ice guard has to be removed and replaced to wrap around the facia board, and all roofing materials applied on top of thatThis whole issue has been considerably stressful!!I honored my agreement to pay them what the home insurance didn't cover and now they are hiding behind technicalitiesI assure you, they know they are responsible
I will not agree to be satisfied until they take responsibility for their error and compensate so we can correct the issueI do not trust them to do the repair as they have not been honest thus farPlease respond as soon as possible as we have gone back and forth on this long enough to determine that Final Touch Construction is liable

Business responded to complaint Regarding this complaint we were contacted early march about a possible leak from the roof I went out to inspect the roof after the ice had melted and to see about the window which had leaked and had damage Since the window has been replaced
(By another company )no leaks have occurred and the homeowner is painting this to be installation error During the inspection of the roof post winter with Mr***, it was found that during the ice build up he or someone had " Beat " the roof with a hard object to remove the ice damnThis damaged the lower feet of the roof and punctured a hole in the valley metal I explained what was going on with the roof damage and Mr*** climbed my ladder to inspect the damage He was unsure how it could have happened however saw that there was damage. With us not being the company that removed the ice we can no longer honor any potential warranty issues as the roof is now damagedThe roof was installed properly and does not leak during any other time besides when the ice had backed up This shows us its from ice damning or the damage caused from ice removal.Thank you, Feel free to contact me with any further questions

Good morning [redacted], This home owner has not had any leaking in the roof other than what was caused by a non warrantied damage.  Ice daming is not covered under our warranty or any roofing warranty. The home owner additionally went on ladder to bash off ice and damaged the roof with a hammer on the bottom 3 feet of the affected area.  We have exhausted our ability to appease this homeowner.  We installed a quality roof which passed all property inspections from the city and is installed properly. Thank you

This business response was received by Revdex.com staff member ** via phone.Josh said Dwight is pretty much retired from the business, however, Dwight received a call when the business was closed for the Thanksgiving holiday and the entire staff was out of the office; Josh said Dwight attempted to assist Ms. [redacted]Josh said Ms. [redacted] should have been instructed from the beginning that there was no warranty coverage for her as the new owner of the home because it was expired ... and because it would not have transferred to the new owner anyway.Josh said the owner of the home at the time of their servicing never made a complaint with their business as it pertains to Ms. [redacted] repair concern.Josh said they have a "TJ" at their business and Ms. [redacted] must have made an inscription error when she took down the  name and telephone number from Dwight.
