I purchased equipment from Degens I had an issue with the quality of the Snapper mower I purchased from them The deck is not level on the wheels or grass The cut on tall grass is uneven as a result Wes is a good sales man but his customer service is horrible He is also dishonest and will try to take advantage of you if you let him I do not recommend Degens Lawn and Garden Their prices are not as competitive as other shops in the area Their selection is very limited also They only sell typical equipment He will pretty much tell you that everything he sells is what you need and the rest is junk But thats standard among sales men!
Further I had an issue with a new mower I purchased from him for my business He refused to repair or replace the mower I had to take it to a higher rated authorized dealer for service Specifically the salesman Wes was rude and disrespectful He was dishonest in representing his expertise and knowledge of the product After being shown the issue his best response was its within the margin of error for the manufacturer The manufacturer(Snapper) says differently
After being disrespectful I was still cordial with him He locked his door so I would not return the mower to his shop He began to make recordings and take pictures for what ever his reason was and then had I assume *** did the same because she told him too He simply did not want to give me the best service The worst of it is that he was fully aware of the issue before he sold me the mower Maybe he is racist or just simply having a bad day but I spend over dollars in his shop and thats more than enough money to get quality
My issue was so simple THE DECK IS NOT LEVEL THATS WHY ONE OF THE WHEELS WAS SPINNING BY IT SELF Wes did not want to correct the issue I expound the issue to him and he said lets go cut some grass He crossed the street and began to cut the grass of one of his friends on the block He cut the front yard with my mower and my gas(he gave me no compensation) He then says look it cuts great and level At that point it was clear that *** *** was full of *** I said to him repair the mower, replace the mower or refund for the mower He then became rude and irate He began raising his voice and making statements unrelated to the issue I did not complain that the mower was not giving a even cut Even though it was not giving an even cut I complained that the mower was not level Initially he said just adjust a wheel I should not have to adjust a wheel The mower should be level with the wheels at the same level, period! *** then said contact the manufacturer and that he would do nothing He stated" I already wasted enough time with you" Clearly he had an issue with me Theres nothing I did to deserve BS treatment I responded to him lets get the manufacturer on the phone He said no He refused to help put the mower on the truck and he locked his door He also told other employees not to help because he did not want too He then began recording video and yelling at me telling me how he felt and he got upset when I told him NO There is an issue with the mower NO it does not cut evenly IT CANT CUT EVEN CAUSE THE DECK IS NOT EVEN!
Wes was unprofessional through out He used profanity and he defamed pretty much every brand mower except what he sells He even said some of the other brands in his shop like Husqvarna and Poulan were basically no good
Im very disappointed with the service and the lawn mower The blower and trimmer I purchased from his shop worked ok He tried to treat me second class instead of like a priority customer
I demand better service and quality products!
