This response is out of circumstance and demonstrates a perfect example of my experienceAnyone from the outside reading my complaint and their response would absolutely see there is an issueMy complaint had nothing to do with warranty of the vehicle or service of the vehicle, my grievance was that I was unhappy with the vehicle which was clearly written in the original complaintIn addition and to add to my complaint is also the unprofessionalism that I received when I attempted to discuss my unhappiness with the owner of Del Chevrolet in which he stated he only needed to make his wife happyAll I wanted was to return the *** and get my *** *** backBottom line, I'm not happy and I am the customerI want my car back! I have made my complaint also to General Motors which they strongly encouraged me to write my review for Del Chevrolet which I am preparing to do, and it will not be goodTotally disgusted with this dealership. Review: I live in Maryland

I purchased and financed a vehicle from Del Chevy in Pennsylvania on the 3rd of January. Salesman [redacted] is a true professional, he did a very good job.

Finance Manager ([redacted]) explained to me that the dealership will fully complete registration of the car and all I have to do is go to the MVA and pick up my new hard plates in a couple of weeks. My temp (paper) tags expire on 2nd Feb.

I called the dealer about 5 days before my tags were to expire because I was going to the MVA that day to collect my tags.

I was referred to the Tag and title department ([redacted]) who informed that they made a mistake and that the MVA had requested the inspection slip before they will complete registration, I was surprised that no one had bothered to called me to inform me of such problem but I complied and overnighted by FEDEX the inspection slip.

I therefore requested that they send me another paper tag since my tags are about to expire and the fact that I need the car for work and my family. I had already sold my previous car.

They refused to send to send me another tag, saying that the law wont allow them to do so. I had already contacted the MVA to question them about that and was informed by customer service that they are wrong and the fact is they can actually issue me another one since the first was only 30 days. I explained my situation that I live in an apartment building and hence my car will be towed on the night it expires. I also dont have anywhere to stow it and more importantly I wont have a vehicle to commute to drop off my daughter at the babysitter and go to work.

I can't believe the insensitivity that I faced by being told flatly that there is nothing that can be done for me. they rather suggested that I drive 3 hours to their side, drop off the car, take one of their complimentary cars, and come back when my tags are ready. 12hrs of driving, which I flatly refused and rather asked if they can get me a loaner car from one of the other chevy dealers from my area, send me another temp tag or rent me a car until this whole deal is done. Still nothing. I spoke to every available person that can help including the assistant manager [redacted]. I left messages for the manager who refused to call me back.

I even tried to reachthe OWNER of the dealership him [redacted] Del [redacted] and co owner [redacted] (sic) who I have left messages for and have still not called me back since monday. I have spoken to the manager of Del [redacted] who has contacted the [redacted] - the manager of Del Chevy who promised him that he will call me back since monday.

No one in management has bothered to try to do anything for me. Not even the tag and title department has tried to call me to give any update, even though they had promised that I will get my hard plates in a few days since they will expedite it. Nothing.

Its been 5 days since my tags expired. I have resorted to asking for rides to work from friends and co workers, waking up a lot earlier than I normally would to make sure I get to work or time to get my daughter to the sitter and continue to work. I am very very upset at this whole proceeding and is strongly considering a lawsuit. Since the owner of the company doesnt even care enough to give me a call. I have since parked the car 3 blocks away in a row of housing, on other peoples parking lot and hope it doesnt get towed away.

I cant even go to register the vehicle myself since I dont even have a TITLE to register it with in the first place.

I bought the vehicle as is but didnt expect to spend over $800 to date on so many issues that I have to resolve. It would cost a lot more if I havent resorted to buying parts myself and paying the local mechanic, begging him to work on it at a major discount and then to go this mess with simple tags and so infuraiting.Desired Settlement: I want Del Chevy to stop breaking the law and get this issue resolved by the end of business tomorrow, since Im suffering and exhausted by the inconvienvce they have caused my family and me by

overnight me another temp tag tomorrow becos they will pay if the car gets towed since I never pay to get it back.

OR Rent me a vehicle until the tags are ready

OR Get me a complimentary vehicle from another dealership in Maryland

any of these PLUS a check or coupon for tires OR coupon for catalytic converter replacement.

Since they failed to disclose to me that the car was previously in 2 different accidents and I could have applied the lemon law if I wanted to. I have already spent a lot on the vehicle.

Or come get their car, since I'm not driving it to PA and a FULL refund of my $1500 deposit. $100 for the fuel and toll that I used to come there and pick up the car. $900 for (oil change, differential, transfer case and transmission oil change, Inspection slip, air filter, cabin air filter, wiper blades, spark plugs). Car still needs catalytic converters and front tires.

A copy of this is being sent to all parties involved.

Thank you

Review: Purchase date 10/3/14, traded in a 2013 [redacted] for a 2013 Chevrolet [redacted]. At the time of pickup, there were some items on the vehicle that were verbally promised to be corrected at a later date.

10/7/14 – 10/14/14 I called, emailed and texted my Salesman (owner’s son) numerous times to schedule the issues to be corrected. Finally scheduled for 10/15/14. During this time, I was not happy with the vehicle.

• Rims scuffed, promised to fix

• Car was not detailed, promised to detail

• Major Scratch on back lift gate, promised to fix

• [redacted] calling doesn’t work, was told to use [redacted] after purchase was made, this is NOT "handsfree calling"

• Front dent near driver headlight, informed DEL and sent picture on 10/10/14

• ** not working Informed DEL on 10/13/14

• Rear wiper broken, informed DEL on 10/9/14

• Passenger mirror broken, informed DEL on 10/9/14

• 10/15/14 I informed General Manager I am unhappy with the vehicle and wanted to return the [redacted] and get my [redacted] back. General Manager stated that’s not something they normally do, but stated they are concerned with customer happiness. He asked that I provide them the opportunity to fix the above issues, but I informed him that my feelings would be the same. He promised to get back with me on 10/16.

• Above work completed 10/16/14 and [redacted] was returned to me, no follow up from Del after work was completed.

• 10/16/14 I did not receive a call back from General Manager, I left numerous messages with General Manager and Owner. General Manager called back around 5pm and told me he “briefly” mentioned to Owner my situation. General Manager stated that he and Owner were to sit down and discuss in the am of 10/17/14.

• No return phone call on 10/17/14, 12:00 noon I placed a call to General Manager and he stated that the Owner would like to speak with me. General Manager stated that the Owner was not in at the time and that he would call me when he returned. I informed General Manager that I would like to have a face to face meeting with Owner. General Manager said he would call me upon his return. 2:00pm I called the dealership to ask for the Owner, I was informed he was “out of the building” and was put into his voicemail. I left a voicemail indicating I would like to meet with him; I received no return phone call from General Manager or Owner.

• 10/20/14 Received a call from Owner and discussed how I am not satisfied with the vehicle and I was seeking a return. Owner indicated it cannot be done. “Why don’t you keep the vehicle for some more time, and if your still not happy, come into the dealership and you can trade it in for another vehicle” I am not sure if they even have an unspoken return policy and this is just an approach to perhaps take me beyond that grace period. I pleaded for Owner to work with me to make it better and make me a happy customer, he stated the only one he needs to make happy is his wife. After I informed him I would like to settle this between us rather than to seek advice from an attorney to see what my consumer rights would be, Owner said “you just threatened me” I did not threaten Owner, I told him I have the right as a customer to explore my rights and Owner hung up the phone on me.

Bottom line is I am not happy with the vehicle and I am certainly not happy with this dealership and their work ethics and unprofessionalism from the salesman, General Manager and the Owner. I feel I have been wronged in this situation and mistreated as a customer. I offered to work with them to pay the sales tax or help out in any way to make the exchange, but to no avail. I would appreciate any assistance from the Revdex.com in helping me to exchange this [redacted] for my [redacted], which is still at this time available on their lot. I also just noticed that this business is not accredited with the Revdex.com.

Sincerely,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would appreciate if you could assist with me getting my trade in car back from this dealership. As stated above, I do not want to deal with this business anymore. I have also filed a complaint with General Motors Claim #**-[redacted] and they encouraged me to write my review with all my honesty about this dealership. I will pursue that next. I do not wish anyone to have experience what I have been through in the past 2.5 weeks, and no one should.

Response:

Attn: Revdex.com,

Review: Will not return calls regarding a failure to honor the warranty and pay for repairs after telling me they would pay for service under the warranty at another GM dealership to avoid paying the cost of transporting the vehicle to their dealership. Del Chevrolet will not return calls and will only transfer us to a voicemail, and told the other GM dealership they would not pay for it despite the written warranty provided to us to close the sale of the vehicle. The vehicle was purchased by an senior citizen widow, which shows their disregard for federal and state protection laws for fraud and abuse of the elderly .Desired Settlement: Return call and pay for repairs as agreed to prior to service being performed.
