Del-Coast Design & Build Reviews (10)

I am very disappointed in the service provided by Del-Coast. I liked the design and work for my 3 Season room until there was a problem with one of the windows installed. It actually started before they were even done with the job but I was told the window just wasn’t closed properly. It falls down from the top and no matter how many times it is closed it still falls down. I was told a couple of times they would come and fix it. With the rain storm we had recently my floor, rug and furniture got soaked when the window fell open during the storm. Now I notice one of the other windows is starting to fall down. I get no response from them to my calls/texts.

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me To reiterate Facing the back side it is the right side and involves trim and applying caulk to the trimmed piece It is noteworthy that the white azek trim will need to be cut to accommodate the crosspiece just as the other side was done

Pam, I am still wAiting for the caulking and trim to be addressed. Last year you ask me to remove the loose caulk, and took told me Todd was going to stop over in July to re- caulk the 3 seasons room, shower and address the shower trim. It is now a year later and I am still waiting. It would be nice if you answered my phone calls. Rick Gounaris 480-689-6457

We had trouble with our garage door motor not being reliable with our openersI called at 10:in the morning, got an immediate call back and the owner came out in the afternoon, fixed all our problems and was pleasant and reasonableI can't recommend any repair company any higher than them

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

To Whom It May Concern;

My above referenced complaint was supposed to be completed no later than 10/15.  At approximately 6:30 p.m. on the 15th a crew of 4 –5 men arrived in a drizzly rain to cut, install and caulk the piece of trim.  Due to the weather it was already quite dark.  They cut it and hammered it in as I watched in the now pouring rain.  The reason this entire job was not completed back in May was because Todd (owner of DelCoast) indicated that caulk could not be applied in the rain and they would have to return. I asked the crew about the caulking and they indicated that they could caulk in the heavy rain we were having at that time.  The lead man indicated he would return last night (16th)  about the same time to finish the job.  It is now the 17th and they have not returned.  Do I need to open another complaint or is this a part of the original? It appears the original complaint has been closed out.  Kindly let me know how to proceed.  I have not spoken with DelCoast.

Thanks for you help in this matter.

Sam just replaced the broken spring on my garage door. He was efficient, polite, and fair on the price. No attempts to over sell the job! Just fast, friendly, great service!!

This is a follow up to the above referenced ID #. The caulk. requested by [redacted] was applied October 21. 2014.  I wilI consider this matter closed unless I hear  otherwise from you.

Review: In March, 2014 Del Coast was contracted to install an outdoor shower with work according to the contract "substantially completed by May 7, 2014." Upon signing, I offered to work with them as it was an outdoor shower and seasonally used, so I could offer wiggle room in that area. The shower was essentially completed and paid in full on May 29 but the day was drizzly and they had to return to caulk on a dry day. That return took several phone calls and emails and finally they came to caulk and I pointed out that they had missed installing a trim piece. [redacted] agreed and said they would return with a piece. On July 14, I received an email stating that [redacted] would be here this week to install the trim and caulk. Again, I sent several emails when they did not show up. Sept 3, I emailed and stated that it had to be completed by today or else I was going to file a complaint. Sept 5, I receive an email at 1:15 p.m. that stated that the trim was installed and caulked. I responded at 2 p.m. that they had done the wrong panel. Had I been contacted that they were returning I could have pointed out the correct panel and this could be finished.

The problem stems from a privacy panel (pvc fencing) that had to be ripped to size. The back wall is comprised of two panels. One panel was done correctly, caulk on the "finished edge" only and trim and caulk on the ripped edge. The "finished edge" sits square with no gap between the post and the panel and caulk suffices but the ripped edge has small gaps and trim was installed to close this small gap and then caulked. The ripped edge on the second panel was just caulked and not trimmed, and the trim is important because it closes the gap and if the caulk shrinks the gap is exposed.Desired Settlement: To be specific. Facing the outside of the back of the shower, the right side of the right panel needs trim.
