Del Coronado Apartments Reviews (4)

To Whom It May Concern,I am the Regional Manager for
Del Coronado apartments and have been in written communication with Mr*** on multiple occasions. This is the first I am hearing of repairs needing
to be completed in his apartment home. We would be more than happy
to
complete any necessary repairs, Mr*** just needs to contact the office to
place a work order. He can do this by phone, in person, or on line
through the resident portal which is available hours a day. Mr***
just entered into a new lease agreement on 10/1/2015, he had the option of
moving on 9/30/if he was dissatisfied with his apartment home.
We do offer options to all of our residents if they are wanting to break
their lease, he can refer to his lease agreement page for the options that
are available to him. If he has any further concerns he is more than
welcome to email me directly.Best Regards,Michelle T***Regional ManagerIMT [email protected]

To whom it may concern,

I have made several attempts to have my washing machine and dryer fixed correctly. Including when maintenance finally replaced my broken dishwasher after "fixing" it before, I had them once again "fix" my washing machine and dryer. Alas it was not fixed. The washer does not agitate and wastes my electricity and does not clean my clothing. I have requested a new machine and repairs on multiple occasions over the last 2+ years. The garbage disposal is the exact same way. It has always backed up into the dishwasher and caused an absolutely horrendous smell. These issues were once again brought up when in October I resigned my lease. It was made part of the agreement upon renewing that I would have the washing machine, the garbage disposal and the sink replaced. It was also agreed upon that I would have the remodel I was promised when I moved in ie; Hardwood Flooring and Fixtures, upon Karima's (Leasing Manager) approval. When I asked Karima about getting the remodeled features I was promised almost three years ago her response was along the lines of "We can talk about this after I get back from vacation in the bahamas in a month". I also stated to her that I had requested repairs that had previously either gone unfixed or had a temporary fix by maintenance. To this she told me to let one of the "girls" know. Amanda and I had already agreed on this per the new lease and she said she would put in a work order and they would most likely need to order the new machines and parts. When followed up on, these were not put in. Once again my request for repairs had been left in neglect and disregard for my safety, health and comfort in my "apartment home". This blatant disregard to my safety and health as a tenant is absolutely disrespectful and shows the complete lack of follow through and concern for the needs of tenants, not just myself. The washing machine has leaked all over the floor on several occasions before and after the machine was "fixed" and maintenance failed to perform a mold test and did not have any concern for it when I had asked them to replace the carpet or at minimum test for mold and mildew. They told me it was fine and that they did test it, I was there the entire time watching so I could see what they did. There was in fact no mold or mildew test and I was lied to plain and simple. Deceived and intentionally led to believe it was fixed and my home was safe and secure from mold and contamination.

Furthermore, the pictures attached are just a few of the inside of the middle of the dryer. They show the disgusting condition and fire hazards that exist because maintenance failed to properly "service" the machine any of the times that they were out. They clearly did not have any regard for the hazards of this. Not to mention i'm asthmatic and allergic to dust and dirt. This was underneath the tumbler in the dryer behind the power and function knobs.
I did forget to mention the other issue of the ceiling in the bedroom that is water stained and leaks through the roof into the ceiling and onto the ground and at one point while I was at work had soaked my dog in his kennel and made him sick. I was told on several occasions that maintenance would fix it, then I was told maintenance couldn't fix it. That only a specialist could and he wouldn't be back out for awhile but I was on the list. Well it rained a few days ago and I laid in bed listening to it drip from the roof to the ceiling and down into my carpet. I have repetitively requested this fixed as well.
I have a third party entity coming out to do a mold test. They are being paid for by my mother who is concerned for my health.
I will also be posting more pictures of the ceiling and underneath the sink from the broken disposal and sink water damage, and back up garbage water in the dishwasher.
Lastly Ms. T[redacted] and I have been in contact over one issue over the length of one very long day of December 7th. This is not multiple occasions. This is two emails for one issue in which nothing was even mentioned about page 4 or any other solutions besides providing a 30 day notice when it was already 7 days into the month, and was discriminating me by requesting paperwork and unreasonable requests for private health information. Even though this information was not requested from other tenants, even though she stated that she must follow the Fair housing laws act. Previously not followed and were adjusted to meet the personal needs of leasing management and lead to believe they were actually business needs by leasing management. Then leasing management (according to tenant) falsified documentation by dating thirty day notice with less time than thirty days left until the move out time frame, again to meet the needs of the business and her personal agenda.
