This was a horrible customer experience; as a full time college student and part time employee, I saved up to purchase my first genuine leather jacket only to find out three months later that it was a FAKE. I PAID $300 for this imitation! A HUGE tear on the sleeve clued me to the fact that it was definitely not real leather. I reached out to the manufacturer and was told that it was not in fact real leather because of the description of the tear. I proceeded to go to the store to find out what remedies could be offered, the sales associate looked at the jacket and immediately agreed that it was not real leather. He told me to come back on a specific day and time so that I may speak to the owner. I came back on that day and time and was told that the owner was not in the country to come back another date, I was also met with an immediate defensive attitude on this second round although this man had never seem me before. He denied any knowledge of purposely selling fakes, even though they advertise only selling real leather. I am almost positive that the person I spoke to IS the owner or the owner's son, as he was very interested in knowing the description and name of the sales associate who attended me the first time I came with the torn item (I gave him neither). He continued to pretend he wasn't the owner, but the honest sales associate I had spoken with before told me I wasn't the first person to come in with this exact same situation. It is obvious the owner knows very well that he is selling fake items at the price of genuine ones, simply said, this store is owned by a thief and I tell all consumers to be ware of any Delancy Leather Fashion stores you may have in your area.

Review: I went in to Delancey leather one day to purchase 2 pair of shoes (1 pair of sandals and 1 pair of purple wedged sneakers) that my girlfriend saw and liked previously. I asked for both shoes in a size 9. I paid for both shoes the cashier handed me the bag with my items. (The purple wedged sneakers were $40 and the sandals were $20 for a total of $60)I noticed that the purple wedged sneakers where not in a box (they gave me the display) and I thought that was odd. As I was walking out I decided to check the shoes and noticed that the wedged sneakers were actually a size 8. I immediately walked back to the cashier and said that I was given the wrong size and I need a size 9. One of the attendants then came over to me and told me that they gave me the wrong size because the shoes run big. She assured me that the shoes would fit and even demonstrated on herself and stated that she was a size 9 and trying on the shoe in front of me. She said see it fits and proceeded to assure me that they will fit. When I got home of course they did not fit my girlfriend. I took the shoes back to the store the next morning to exchange the shoes. I was then told that they did not have the correct size and that was all they had. I told the manager what happened the day prior and said that I believe I am entitled to a refund despite their no refund policy because I was given an item other than what I asked for and deceived. The manager proceeded to curse me out. I called the police and they instructed me as to my options. I came back to the store on a later date to speak to the store owner. I explained the scenario again and was told again that I could only exchange. I told him that my girlfriend only like the pairs that she bought and did not want anything else from the store. However, he did apologize for his managers unprofessional behavior and gave me a discounted price for a coat due to my utter disgust with their business conduct. I accepted that off but assured that I was still not appeased for the shoes. He then took back the shoes I purchase and ordered a new pair (over his cell phone) in the correct size. He told me that it would take about 2 weeks to come. I waited the 2 weeks and checked in frequently to see if my shoes arrived. They did not. He told me to call him on a Monday so that he could call the company and find out what happened to the shoes. I did so but could not reach him. This persisted for about a month. I was then informed that the owner left the country and that was why I couldnt reach him. Once he returned, I was finally able to contact him after an extra week of trying. He told me that the shoes were discontinued and my shoes would not be coming anymore. I asked what my options were as far as compensation and he said exchange again. I no longer want to deal with the store and would like assistance from the Revdex.com. I am now out $40 and I have nothing to show for it. I would simply like a refund and take my business elsewhere.Desired Settlement: I simply want a refund. I have looked in the entire store and taken my girlfriend. We see nothing else we want.
