Review: I would not suggest using this company. We had an awful experience. I booked an appointment this past Thursday for today from 8-11am. They took our credit card to hold the appointment, but indicated it would not be charged. I did not have my new card for my new account on me when I booked so I used one that was expiring the next day, but planned to use my new card with my new account the day of the work was complete. However, they charged my account and it over-drafted as a result. I called to complain and after speaking to about 10 different people and being put into a voice mail box for customer service multiple times they eventually said they would have it reversed. But I then had to deal with an overdraft issue with my bank on the old account. The representative in the billing department with this company that took care of this said he would note it was a cash job and that I could either pay with cash the day the work was performed or I could pay with my new card. However, today no one showed up between 8 and 11am. I called at 12:30 and got put into the VM for customer service. Receiving no response, I called again around 1:20 and again got put into the customer service VM. Not wanting to leave another message I called back and asked to speak to someone about this. Someone called me back and told me that he had tried to reach the technician but had not yet reached him, and that he did not show up for his first appointment yet. We waited a few hours and called back again. This time they told my husband that they had cancelled our appointment. I then called back and asked why and they said it was cancelled the day prior because they did not have payment information from us and someone had tried to call us. I explained to the representative, who hung up on me at one point, that I had spoken with their representative about payment and was told this was being entered as a cash job so I could either pay with cash or my new card. I also told him that no one had called me to get any payment information the day prior. And told him that I had called them multiple times about the payment issue and told him about the conversation I had above with someone in the billing department. Further, even though their website says 24 hour service 7 days a week this is clearly untrue as I was told no one could come out today at that point. The representative also gave me the number for a supervisor named David, but when I called it was just the customer service VM again. I called back the main number and was hung up on. I called back again and the representative had another guy, George call me back, who said he was a regional manager. He had no clue what was going on, but also indicated no one could come out today. So we sat at home all day waiting for someone to come out and no one ever did. And they clearly do not have their story straight as to the reason since one person said it was because the service tech never even went to his first appointment yet at that point and then later they told us our appointment had been cancelled the day prior. If you want to speak with a live person who knows what is going on and work with a company that actually shows up - I would go with another company!Desired Settlement: I would like the courtesy of a return call. George, the regional manager, said he would call me back, but never did. He called from 305-517-7453, which isn't even a local number. I checked my call records and this is the same number that called me earlier in the day - the guy that told me the repairman had not even made it to his first appointment yet - and again later in the day - when I was told it was cancelled because they did not have payment information.

Review: [redacted] contacted Delaware County Appliance Repair by telephone the first week in February,2014 at telephone number ###-###-#### to discuss repairs needed to our gas oven. [redacted] found this company on the internet. I accepted an appointment for Monday,February 10th, 2014 to have a technician assess the oven for needed repairs. Technician [redacted] (###-###-####)came to our home as scheduled. He reported our oven could be repaired for a total cost of $327.54. He stated he needed a deposit of $150.00 for parts to be ordered. He stated the check had to be made to him directly, because the company had contracted the job to him. [redacted] was given a check for $150.00 which he cashed the next day. [redacted] stated he would return to complete the repairs 2/14/14 or 2/15/14. On 2/14/14 [redacted] called [redacted] for an update, and he reported snow prevented him from completing the repairs;however,he confirmed he would be at our home at 12n 2/15/14. At 12noon [redacted] was no show no call. I contacted him for an update at 1pm, and now he was reporting the parts had not come in. I told him we were very upset about his no show no call twice. He made more excuses about the parts and was unable to confirm a repair date. [redacted] called Delaware County Appliance Repair and spoke with [redacted] Saturday 2/15/14. [redacted] stated he would contact [redacted] to get our parts and have another technician complete the repairs. [redacted] stated he would call us on Monday 2/17/14 to confirm the plan to get our oven repaired. [redacted] did not call 2/17/14 as promised. We called several other times and spoke with various staff ([redacted]&[redacted]) to name two. To date we have not gotten our deposit back, nor has anyone from the company contacted us to complete the repairs. Delaware County Appliance Repair also uses the telephone # ###-###-#### which is located on our invoice.Desired Settlement: We would like our $150.00 deposit returned.
