Review: I rented a pontoon boat from this business in August 2015. After showing up with 11 other guests, the condition of the boat was horrific. The overall condition was a D at best. There was a hole in the upper part of the engine, looked as though the sea grass hadn't been cleaned off the bottom in years, the radio didn't work and was completely corroded, and the seats were all ripped with duct tape put over them. After packing coolers, making lunches, getting kids ready, crabbing / fishing supplied packed up, it was difficult for us to walk away but I did voice my concern to the gentleman who checked us in and he just said "yeah, it's a bit run down looking" and kind of chuckled. So after getting back to the house, I called the manager named [redacted] (sp?) to complain and she said there's no refunds and that "the boat did work, right" and more or less "what's my problem". That's when I responded that had we known about the condition of the boat prior to reserving it, maybe we would've reconsidered or worked out another price. I addressed my concerns that I don't feel as though I should pay top dollar for a boat that is literally falling apart and that I wanted to speak to the owner. [redacted]'s reply was that the owner is never around and that he want call me back anyway as she was the manager. I indicated that I wanted to speak with him and only him and that's when she said she'd pass along the message. It's been about a month now and I've had no responses after speaking with [redacted] and leaving a follow up message earlier this week.Desired Settlement: Full refund

Review: MY FAMILY AND I WERE ON VACATION IN DEWEY BEACH,DE. ON JUNE 24TH WE DECIDED TO TAKE A MARINE BOAT OUT ON THE BAY.WE WENT TO THE AREA ON THE BAY WHERE YOU COULD SEE PRICE FOR BOAT RENTALS.THEY HAD TOLD US THEY HAD A SEARAY AVAILABLE FOR USE.THEY SAID IT WAS $377 FOR 4 HOURS.WE DECIDED TO JUST RENT IT SINCE WE ALWAYS SAID WE WERE GOING TO.THEY ASKED MY HUSBAND TO SIGN AND DATE THE FORM AND ASKED FOR THE CARD TO BILL FOR IT.NEVER SAID ANYTHING ELSE OR OFFERED INSURANCE ON IT.THEY THEN GOT THE BOAT AND WE ALL GOT ON.MY HUSBAND AND I,MY SISTER AND OUR KIDS.IT TOOK THREE TIMES FOR THE BOAT TO START AND ON THE THIRD TIME MY HUSBAND TOOK THE WHEEL FROM THE EMPLOYEE ONCE HE EXITED THE BOAT. WE ROAD AROUND FOR ABOUT A HOUR AND THEN MY HUSBAND CUT THE ENGINE SINCE WE ALSO HAD TO PAY FOR THE GAS USAGE.WE JUST DRIFTED FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES.THERE WHERE NO MARKERS IN THE BAY AND THE EMPLOYEE OR CAPTAIN AS THEY CALLED HIM SAID TO GO ANYWHERE.TURNS OUT THERE WERE SAND DUNES IN THE BAY.OUR BOAT DRIFTED ONTO ONE OF THE SAND DUNES.MY HUSBAND ATTEMTED TO RESTART THE BOAT TO GET OFF THE DUNE.TWO TIMES IT STARTED UP AND DIDNT MOVE.THE THIRD ATTEMPT AND THE BOAT DIDNT TURN ON AT ALL!WE HAD TO CALL THE CAPTAIN TO COME GET US OUT OF THE BAY.MY HUSBAND HAD ALSO HEARD NOISED FROM THE MOTOR WHEN WE WERE BOATING THAT DIDNT SOUND RIGHT.HE HAS A FISHING BOAT AND KNOWS HOW IT SHOULD SOUND.SO WHEN THIS BOAT UP AND DIED IT OBVIOUSLY HAD PROBLEMS WHEN WE LEFT OFF TO THE BAY WITH IT.THE CAPTAIN SAID WE WILL CALL YOU WHEN WE KNOW WHAT HAPPENED.AND THIS MATTERED IN REGARD TO US HOW!!??HE SAID ITS PROBABLY JUST SAND IN THE ENGINE THAT NEEDS FLUSHED.WELL NOONE CALLED UNTIL FOUR DAYS LATER ON THE WAY HOME FROM VACATION AND TOLD US WE HAD TO PAY A $844 BILL FOR THE WORK THAT NEEDED DONE ON THE BOAT!!!THEY SAID THE STARTER HAD GOTTEN RUINED FROM WATER !!AND IT NEEDED FLUSHED AND IT TOOK THREE HOURS OF LABOR TO DO ALL THAT!!FIRST OF ALL WE DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO THAT BOAT!!ONLY ON IT FOR 1.5HRS!!I ARGUED THIS TO NO AVAIL!!WHEN WE GOT BACK HOME I CALLED DONEGAL MARINE IN DONEGAL,PA AND THE SAID WE DEFINITELY GOT RIPPED OFF !!THEY SAID A INDOOR MOTOR STARTER DOES NOT GET WATER INTO IT FROM THE BAY!!I TOLD THE GIRL THAT AND TO SEND ME A ITEMIZED REPAIR BILL.NEEDLESS TO SAY I HAVE GOTTEN NOTHING.AND THEY SAID IT TAKES ABOUT HALF AN HOUR TO REPLACE A STARTER!!!I KNOW WE DID NOT ONE THING TO DAMAGE THAT BOAT!!I DO NOT FEEL WE SHOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR A FAULTY BOAT THAT WE ASSUMED WOULD GIVE US ENJOYMENT AND NOT STRESS!!!!I WANT MY REFUND!!!!!Desired Settlement: REFUND TO CREDIT CARD OF $844
