We were sorry to read about the service failures you experienced and apologize for the discomfort and inconvenience that this causedEmbers is the
only restaurant that requires a reservation at Tenaya Lodge and the Concierge should have known that
Your stay was during a busy Martin Luther King holiday weekendOur occupancy was up to 96% and regrettably this had an impact in our inability to have the right skate size for your wife to skateWe offer separate skating sessions daily and it was unfortunate that the other time slots did not meet with your dinner or babysitting scheduleWe can certainly appreciate your disappointment
We want you to know that we take accusations of food poisoning very serious and have a protocol to follow once we have been informedIt was unfortunate that this serious issue was not shared with anyone on staffI have gone through the incident reports that the Manager on Duty logs into our system as well as the restaurant operation reports for the evening that you dinedThere were no incident reports on food or quality of food for Embers nor were there any complaints called in following the dateIt was noted that Embers had run out of fish but no other comments or service recovery comments had been notedThis is not to say that your wife was not feeling ill and we are sorry for thatWe just want you to understand that we feel confident it was not due to her meal
It seems that everything that could go wrong with your plans did go wrong and for this we offer our profound apologyYour issues have been shared with the appropriate personnel and corrective action will be taken
