required per DMV and state regulation to collect from all Delaware residence taxes (based on the sale price of the car)$40/yr (max 2 yrs) registration fee, and a title fee of $25. All of these fees are state fees and not regulated by Delaware Public Auto Auction. One of my employee did in fact miss-calculate [redacted]'s taxes, registration, and title fees should have totaled $251 instead of the $248 he was charged. [redacted] mentions in his complaint that he and we agreed to the total price but that is incorrect because he has already purchased the car for $3810 prior to paying his DMV fees. We explained the error to [redacted] and it was our hope that he could understand the small error and would man up and pay it but he gave my customer service such a hard time about it. I am willing to waive the $3 fee as a customer service gesture if need be but [redacted] will be required to come in and pick up his own title and tag work.

Review: I brought a car As is $2000 over market value because they toldme there was nothing wrong with the car and it would pass inspectioneven wrote that with my my name on the contract. They would not let me take the car for a test drive so I had to test it out in the parking lot. When I drove the car car home when I brake it would pull to the right and I almost it the cars in the other lane. Took it to Amaco to get it inspected they told me the car is not drivable and had many issues with the car. The whole front was so loose that Amaco made me sign a waiver just to take the car stated I was advised not to drive the car and I was taking it at my own risk. I already spent 2000 over market value and do not want to spend 1500 more for a 99 model car. I can not drive the car and have not yet register it because I don't know what to do.Desired Settlement: I would like the cost to get the car running and inspected to be refund to me or I would like to return the car.

At Delaware Public Auto Auction all vehicles are sold As-is Where-is and it is the customers responsibility when buying from us to ensure that the vehicle they are purchasing is in the exact condition they want it to be they purchase it. [redacted] did call us about her concerns and even came in and spoke directly with me ([redacted] - Manager). It was explained to [redacted] that it was her responsibility to look the car over in full before purchase and that we do not make any guarantees. She had the car looked at by someone else and told me what those problems were. I then asked if she ([redacted]) could bring her to bring the car back to us so that we can look it over to confirm the diagnose it and give her a quote to fix it. She never brought the car in but we did give her a price to fix it which was less that what she was originally quoted. [redacted] said she would contact is back and as not yet. I am still willing to assist [redacted] and honor to quote we gave to her some time back but she must understand that she purchase the car with out a warranty and that she is ultimately responsible for having her car fixed.

Review: I financed a 2004 Volvo XC 90 on 3/28/14 with $2500 down payment, and with the required warranty. I drove the vehicle for 1 hour, and the "transmission service required immediately," notification light came on. The car then would not accelerate and I coasted the vehicle back to the Delaware Public Auto Auction. Two weeks later I was told that the mechanic shop could not get the light to come back on and they were trying to figure out the problem. I was then told WEEKLY that I should call back on Friday for an update, or sensors were being checked, or they couldn't get the light to come on, or the problem disappeared and they will keep it and try to get the light to come on, or that the vehicle was sent to an outside mechanic and they were waiting on parts. Meanwhile, it was an excuse every week. Finally, the transmission was "supposedly," replaced by the warranty, and we could PICKUP THE VEHICLE ON 6/6/2014 (correct date) and pay another $500.00 for what the warranty did not cover. My husband and I drove the vehicle that Friday and Saturday, then Sunday THE SAME LIGHT CAME ON SAYING, "TRANSMISSION SERVICE REQUIRED IMMEDIATELY." We returned the car to the Delaware Public Auto Auction again that Monday. But before returning to the auction, we took the car to a family mechanic, and a reputable conglomerate for transmission repair. We were simply told by both people, "THE TRANSMISSION WAS NEVER REPLACED." The conglomerate gave us documentation of an transmission that needs to be replaced. Of course we returned the vehicle to DPAA and they called the mechanic they sent it out to, which stated they did repair the transmission. It is now 7/10/14, and we are now back to the excuses that, " we cannot get the light to come on, and we sent it out again to the SAME people that are supposed to replace the transmission and they're working on it."We have been beyond patient with Delaware Public Auto Auction. We know that it only takes 2 DAYS to replace a transmission, not 4 MONTHS.Desired Settlement: Full refund. I nor my family and friends will EVER buy a vehicle from Delaware Public Auto Auction. I am a veteran with children that HAS to have a vehicle for appointments, etc. An exchange is out of the question. I want my money back to patron another dealership that vehicles have integrity. I was told transmission and engines were guaranteed for a year following DPAA evaluation. So how did this vehicle pass evaluation with an inoperable transmission? Bad business.

Review: On 4/21/14 I paid in full for a 2002 Saturn Vue with tax and tag fees included. On 6/10/14 I went to pick up the tags and they are saying I owe them $3 for tag fees because of an employees era . I told them everything was added by there employee and we had a final price we settled on and I refused to pay the $3 fee. They refused to release my tags and title to me both of witch I paid for in full.Desired Settlement: My tags and title to be mailed to me. I made the effort to drive an hour and a half to and from to pick up my things. Now they should mail them to me.
