This is in response to a complaint that was submitted against Delaware Valley Appliance ID # [redacted] The refrigerator the customer spoke of was a brand new unit purchased from my Scratch and Dent Store at [redacted] BlvdThe fact that the unit was in a scratch and dent store tells you there may be a problem with the unitThose units are marked for sale at a price tag much less than if the unit were purchased in a box brand new from the warehouseWe did everything in our power to help this customer resolve her problemThere is nothing else we can doShe should be asking [redacted] to replace the unit since they are the manufacturesWe only sell the appliances, we do not make them! We have gone above and beyond to help her just as we do for other customersWe are sorry she isn't satisfied but truth be told this is a manufacturing issue.Thank you,Joseph E [redacted] ProprietorDelaware Valley Appliance

I am rejecting this response because:
The refrigerator was not presented to me as being a used unit. Although it is their "scratch & dent "outlet, there is no visible sign of  a scratch or dent. They were trying to unload a defective unit. Per [redacted], the refrigerator was registered with them December 2014, 5 months before I purchased it. On December 2, 2014 [redacted] received a call form Appliance Difference, the business that was taken over by Delaware Valley Appliance, stating that the unit (serial #[redacted], Model #[redacted]) was not cooling and the customer had returned it. Paul's Appliance, the service company designated by [redacted],  went to Appliance Difference & replaced the control board on December 15, 2014. I purchased the unit May 29, 2015.  I called [redacted] February 1, 2016 to advise the unit was not working, the ice maker was leaking, they advised me that it was out of warranty because it had been registered in December 2014, again, 5 months before I purchased it. I had to send my bill of sale to [redacted] in order to have the warranty honored. Paul's Appliance came and replaced the ice maker. After a month it still was not working. I used a thermometer in both the freezer & refrigerator, it registered below normal based on normal settings. I called Delaware Valley Appliance & told them I wanted a new unit. They sent out one of their techs who replaced a motor, it is still now working properly & will soon be out of warranty. Whether they knew it  was a used appliance or not  when they took over the business they should stand behind their products. What I am asking is simply to replace the unit with a new one. The owner of Delaware Valley Appliance Will NOT return my repeated phone calls.  He has done nothing to solve the problem of a dissatisfied customer. I ask why?
