Review: I tried dropping two classes spring of 2015 due to family issues because the death of my father. He pasted away Dec 4, 2014 a month before the semester started. Doing the beginning of Feb I found out my dad had legal problems the family knew nothing about until after his death. So april I traveled out of town to Texas to handle the matters. I tried dropping the classes myself but was unsuccessful in doing so. I emailed my teacher, called the school, and even went to the school on my lunch break and got no help whatsoever. Finally I received help from someone in the admissions office who told me to contact the Business Division. It took me about two weeks to get help. I was then told I had to write an appeal, which I did.

I never got a reply, so I called to check on the problem and Ms.Jennifer [redacted] said all appeals would be handled after Mardi Gras. At the end of March 2016 I was interviewed by a nasty attitude having committee who didn't care about what I had to say. After they were done with questioning me I was told I'll get a call back. I didn't know the call-back would be in less then 5mins so I went back to work and missed the call by mistake, I called back 15-20mins later and got Ms.Jennifer's VM. I left her a message, she never retured my call. I called her again a week later and still no answer.

Then on April 19, 2016 at 7:59AM she left me a VM stating the appeal was denied with no reason why. I called back two weeks later and she said the committee didn't leave any notes saying why it wasn't granted, then I got an attitude and she says it was denied because I didn't have enough evidence to support the appeal, she then hung up in my face.

I want Delgado to call me ASAP to handle this issue professionally. A lawyer has been call and so has the Department of Education.Desired Settlement: I would like the school to call me at [redacted] ASAP. And I want both grades to be removed off my transcript altogether.

Review: I only decided to attend DCC because MYCAA funding would pay for a majority of my classes. It was very easy to enroll into this college. However, once it was time to receive my refund for my additional financial assistance, the school would NOT release my funding to me. I spent everyday on the phone with the financial aid office for over a month. Eventually I called the chancellor directly and even SHE was unable to assist me. Finally, my financial aid was released. However, because the money was released AFTER my class had already completed, the money was debited as a credit onto my account. No one was ever able to give me an accurate explanation as to why I did not receive the financial aid and I was treated so rudely every time I spoke with anyone affiliated with this college. Also, the school repeatedly charged me out of state tuition. As a military spouse I qualify for in state tuition. I filed all the appropriate paperwork and submitted copies of my husbands orders not once, not twice, but THREE times. I am still waiting to see if they have not lost the current set of orders I have given them. I am so disgusted with the ethics of this school and highly encourage anyone in the New Orleans area to find ANY other school if that is possible for you.Desired Settlement: I would like a formal apology from the school and nothing more than what is due to me. My financial aid refund and to not be overcharged for tuition.

Review: On Feburary 18, 2015 I paid $24.50 for two transcripts to be sent and Delgado is saying they mailed them but neither of the schools received them. When I told Delgado about this they told me that I would have to pay again. They didn't offer to resend them or give me any explaining as to why they never received them.Desired Settlement: After how long it's taken the school to receive them I don't need them to be sent anymore, so I would just like refund.

Review: On May 21, 2013 I paid Delgado $5.00 to send an official transcript to the Department of Education. As of today, the Department of Education has not received the transcript. I have contacted the Department of Education to request a search for the document. That search did not reveal a transcript from Delgado. I contacted Mrs. [redacted] in Delgado's Registry's Office and she states that the transcript was mailed on May 22, 2013. However, the DOE received everything needed to process my application except the transcript from Delgado.Desired Settlement: I need Delgado to mail a copy of my transcript to the Department of Education as soon as possible.
