Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2014/05/03) */
Ms. [redacted] applied on-line and her credit rating did not qualify her for a rental property with our firm. Our qualifying guidelines are available for preview on our website. The fact that Ms. [redacted] did not qualify does not entitle her...
to a refund for having run her credit.
We have on file both the form that we sent to Ms. [redacted] explaining that she did not qualify as well as a string of emails between Ms. [redacted] and ourselves explaining that the application fee she paid does not come to DPM but rather to the company that provides the credit report. Let me make this clear - we never received the fee that she now wants us to refund.
I am happy to publish those emails in a public forum to absolutely demonstrate that Ms. [redacted]'s complaint is without basis.
In addition, we spoke to Ms. [redacted] more than once on the phone and explained everything to her - including the fact that we never received the money that she now wants us to refund.
Further, we had offered to Ms. [redacted] that if she were to apply in the future we would cover the cost of that new application fee and even offered her a $200 rebate off of her first month's rent, should she qualify. We did this in the spirit of "good business" to try to ensure that we treat all people in a more-than-fair manner.
Despite all of this effort on our part, Ms. [redacted] has chosen to misrepresent us and file a complaint with the Revdex.com. Perhaps Ms. [redacted] would be better served spending her time to improve her credit rating?
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 10, 2014/05/05) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I have never spoken ANYONE from [redacted] regarding this matter. I only received a follow up response from [redacted] AFTER I sent her an email saying that I was filing a complaint with Revdex.com. Only THEN did I receive an email saying my application was denied and then I was offered the $200 off. If I was denied then why offer a rebate in the future. To this
Date I still have not receiced the letter they claimed was mailed via us postal mail service. I too can show the string of emails.
