I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The salon's response is not truthful and therefore my complaint remains. I was quoted $25 by the woman I directly questioned for a price. The women in the salon spoke to each other continuously in Spanish during my time at the salon (and not directly to me), and did not give me any other price in English. Perhaps they made their own assumption that I spoke Spanish however I don't, which is why I asked my question in English and was told $25 by the initial woman I approached. They also spoke Spanish to each other after I complained about the final price and then turned to me to speak in English since I did not understand their conversation. I not once mentioned a flat iron and was not informed it would be extra money. Also the only time I mentioned I was going to a wedding was when the hairstylist asked if she could trim my ends, and I said no because I was going to be styled for a wedding. I did NOT ask for hair straightening when mentioning a wedding. I mentioned that I do not normally straighten my hair, which rollers does stretch/straighten my hair since my hair is naturally very tight & set curls. The manager even apologized when I was at the register and told her that she never asked if I wanted to flat iron my hair and did not inform me as the hairstylist that it would be an additional cost or how much. The hairstylist doing my hair began using the flat iron and I turned around with a confused look to the other stylists and the manager simply stated in a passive tone that its fine, she just told the stylist to use the iron so it could be straighter and not too much heat to my hair. That was the end of her comments and she never said this is an additional service and how it would affect the final cost. There was a direct lack of communication and their inability to understand this comes across and very deceptive and I feel misled which is unfortunate. Obviously a solution is not possible as they cannot see any wrongdoing, however their approach & end result is unacceptable and should to be corrected to avoid more misunderstandings in the future,.

[redacted] was rendered services at Delicate Hair INC on Sunday July, **, 2016. When entering the salon, she asked how much was a wash and set (A was and set consist of washing hair and setting rollers, no additional services are included in the price). The stylist she asked had told her a...

wash and set is quoted at $25 and above depending on the length of the hair (noted on the price board). The stylist had then asked the store manager to confirm the quote for a wash-set for [redacted] hair. Store manager quoted it to be $35 as her length of hair fell between 14"-16". [redacted] agreed to these services and followed through to get her hair wash and set. After her hair was set and dry she proceeded to the chair in which the rollers were to come off of her head. She stated to the stylist she wanted her hair to be straight. In this case, in order for the hair to be straight she will need to get the hair blown out and further more b ecause of her texture get the hair straightened with a flat iron. Store Manager suggested she should not apply too much heat to the hair and recommended to only use the flat iron for a perfect straight look- [redacted] agreed and stated that she was going to a wedding and for this reason asked for it to be straight. Once the service was complete she proceeded to the cashier where the final price was $45 due to the extra service of straight hair she asked for. For the hair to be straightened with flat iron and/or hair blower it is a cost of $10 in addition to the initial quote.
