Review: This is the second time that Delk has sent me a bill because they supposedly performed a service at my home. I never received a call to make an appointment nor did I call to make one. This time around, I wasn't aware of any service until I received a bill with a late charge aside from the regular service fee. I sent them a letter with payment of the regular service even though I did not agree. I sent the letter asking them to waive the late charge fee as it was their mistake that they didn't send me a bill as soon as they supposedly did the service. In the letter I also asked them to send me some kind of notification stating that my service is being cancelled because I don't want them to randomly send me bills of services they did not perform. I am aware that they could have came to my home, but they couldn't have performed the full service as the back of my home is gated and locked. Either way, I do not agree of the fact that they send people out with out an appointment made by the homeowner. I still have not received any response from them since my letter and payment (which they cashed) and now I am getting another bill for the late charge. Desired Settlement: I would like that late fee waived given that I wasn't even aware of a service performed and didn't receive a bill till months later and I would like my service canceled.

Response:

Delk Pest Control received a cancelation letter from [redacted] on 12/13/13. Her account was then cancelled and a letter was mailed to [redacted] letting her know we received her cancel request the same day 12/13/13.

Mrs. [redacted] has requested to be serviced on a Saturday only and to be called the day before Delk Pest Control would be out to service her home. On 02/15/13 Delk called and lifted a message that we will be out to service on 02/16/13. The service technician was unable to service the back yard only because the gate was locked. The service technician wrote a note on the invoice explaining to call the office to schedule the service for the back yard and placed it in our return envelope.

Delk Pest Control will mail a statement if an account is over 45 days past due informing the customer that the account is on hold until payment is received. Delk mailed Mrs. [redacted] a statement on April 1 2013, May 1, 2013 and June 3 2013.

On June 11, 2013 I received a call from Mrs. [redacted] stating that she did not receive service in February. Four months after the service was provided. I waived the service fee and late fee. On August 31st the same scenario as in February reoccurred and we received a cancel letter on 12/13/2013.

It is the responsibility of the customer to give Delk Pest Control access to all areas on property that are part of the service agreement. If we are unable to access certain areas it is also the responsibility of the customer to call and set up a return visit at their convenience.

All Delk Pest Control service vehicles are equipped with GPS tracking systems. Service invoices are left on all customer doors, letting the customer know we were there and remittance for payment.
