Dells Duck Tours Reviews (2)

I made a reservation for Bigfoot Zipline Tours, and a credit card is needed to hold your spot. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I am no longer traveling to Wisconsin Dells. The company refused to refund my money even though I am unable to use their service and gave them 4 days notice to allow someone else to use my spot.

Review: I contacted Bigfoot Zipline Tours in August 2014 to set up a group tour for my son and his fellow Cub Scouts & our families. On 9/27/2014 [redacted] asked for a deposit of $100, which I gave to her on good faith via my personal credit card. I was told that the deposit was good toward my ticket purchase and that the balance was due on the day of our event, which was scheduled for 10/4/2014. I was told the deposit would never expire and should we need to reschedule I would be given a voucher that would "never" expire. [redacted] called me at work on 10/3/2014, a day before our scheduled tour, and asked me for the full payment. I explained that I had paid a deposit and we had agreed the balance would be paid on sight the day of the event. She said no and that I needed to give her my personal credit card for the full balance. I became leary and said I was not comfortable with that, as that was not our agreement. She then had me speak to [redacted] who told me I needed to pay the balance at that moment or he was going to cancel my reservation. I asked him not to cancel our reservation, as we were looking forward to the tour. I explained that my agreement with [redacted] was that I pay a deposit and then the balance on sight. He told me no and that if I did not pay him at that moment he would cancel my reservation. I declined. [redacted] then cancelled my reservation. I then asked him for my deposit back, as it was he who cancelled, not me. He said, "No way!" I asked again and he began yelling at me, "You are a horrible persona and should be ashamed of yourself, all these boys you let down! You should be ashamed!" He went on and on, not letting me say anything further, so I then hung up. In summary, I am claiming fraud from Bigfoot Zipline Tours for $100. As they cancelled my reservation and did not refund my deposit. There was no contract or email communication with this company, all communication was verbal over the phone. Thank you, [redacted]Desired Settlement: As [redacted] cancelled my reservation I am asking for a $100 refund.
