Poor customer service
We purchased a Forest River Wildwood travel trailer. There were multiple issues. We tended to them ourselves but shouldn't have had to.

First, they screwed up on the DE sales tax. Had to return to give them more money. 😤

Second, they said the trailer would be cleaned before pick up. Nobody touched it.
We had to clean it ourselves. 😠

Third, the guy who walked us through the trailer at pick up ( he was clearly in a hurry) did not tell us how to turn on the hot water heater. When we got to the campsite we had no hot water for showers and couldn't figure out how to turn it on since the owners manual didn't say specifically for our model.

Fourth, the screws for the trim kit around the microwave were missing. Good thing it didn't come flying out of the hole during transport. The table was installed crooked, factory debris in all cabinets and drawers. Lift up countertop to right of sink installed crooked.

Fifth, no one followed up on our dmv tags. Was told they were in the Milford location for two weeks and we're never sent to Seaford. Poor follow up on the staffs part.

Nice sales staff but I doubt I would ever make another major purchase with them again.

Don't buy from these people they drag there feet and don't do what they say .There sales people don't know what is sold with each unit its a guessing game they will tell u whatever u wanna hear to get u sold then will go back on there word promise u things for weeks and then tell you oh no never said that . Bought from them almost 2 months ago there was things to be fixed before the day of picking up the unit .ARRIVE DAY OF PICK UP NOTHING WAS DONE AT ALL. So they say oh take it home will have to order new screen and remote that was missing find the 2 second set of keys and touch up the wood that was messed up window shade pc that was broken mind you this unit was brand new . Had to keep calling as stuff wasnt getting ordered to fix the issues 3 weeks later call service they say oh sales guy was supposed to call u the stuff is here . But no one knows about the tv the sales guy said would come with it so he says ill get the tv and have them put it in .Now he says he never said that do yourself a huge favor and stay away .

Also had an issue with a dvd player. The sales info said it came with one but the sales staff said no. The info ( they posted) was wrong.

Review: [redacted] a sales representative misled me with the promise of several things that would be with my purchase. This purchase would be a 2014 coachman class c motor home. The purchase was suppose to include brackets for the ladder, one year free camp membership and all information including warranties. We have tried to contact him emails and phone calls. Only when I told the receptionist we were going to his General Manager did he return our call. He rudely told us he was not sending copies of anything and we would not what was promised.Desired Settlement: We would like the promised stated above resolved.

We have made several attempts to contact [redacted] via emails and phone calls, all to no avail. We are willing to discuss and rectify his issues. We would appreciate any direction your company could provide us with as to where to go with this issue now. (See attached).

Review: October 2011 purchased 30' coachman freedom express camper from DelMarVa RV.

May 2012 -first time camping - toilet leaked/couldn't run water in camper - DMV RV "fixed" toilet.

July 2013 - second time camping - toilet leaked/couldn't run water in camper and jack wouldn't work - took camper to DMV RV and they "fixed" toilet but wouldn't fix jack because "it was no longer under warranty". They had our camper almost 2 months. We called multiple times to check status and work not completed.

June 2014 - hooked camper up to prep for trip and toilet leaked again. Husband went to DMV RV and complained to owner about poor service. Parts mgr said he didn't even know us. Owner started screaming at my husband so he left. We purchased a new toilet and had a plumber come to the camper to replace the broken toilet. While running water in the camper for the first time to check new toilet, he noticed the hot water heater was also leaking and must be replaced.Desired Settlement: DMV RV has not repaired our brand new camper problems in 2 attempts lasting 2 months. We want cash to reimburse our purchase of a new toilet $210 and a new water heater $499.99 and $150 for the plumber. We want their parent company notified of this poor service (as we've found we're one of a multitude of mistreated customers in our local area) and an apology from the parts manager and the owner.

This letter is in response to the above referenced customer. Mr.& [redacted] purchased a new 2012 Forest River Freedom Express on September 24, 2011. The customer made the decision to winterize the unit himself. Then after the winter of 2012 the customer complained of a leak in the toilet. After we inspected the leak, we found improper winterization and informed customer of our findings and told him he needed to read his Owner Manuel on how to properly winterize his RV. His RV was out of factory warranty, however we replaced and repaired as needed. All good will on our part.

In June 2014, [redacted] came into the dealership very upset, cursing and swearing loudly, that he had another leak. [redacted] admitted to our Parts and Service Director that his sons winterized the RV Again and admitted they did not use antifreeze as directed by the manufacture of the toilet and Forest River that you must use antifreeze.We haven 't worked on unit, repairs or winterization. His son or [redacted] have done all the maintenance on the uniit themselves. After the horrifically long and cold winter we had in conjunction with us not doing any maintenance on his unit we feel we have no responsibility to this matter. The issue with the water heater is a clear sign of improper winterization.

With that being said, there was no negligence on our part for poor workmanship, so we feel we have no financial responsibility to [redacted]' unit as its been out of factory warranty for over 1 years. Please direct us if you think we should take any further steps.
