Review: Took the money, never came back!

We paid for final services before they were performed (our mistake), but [redacted] never came back to finishe the job. He had promised us a couple times a month since March, that he would, but never does. Now he doesn't return our calls, text messages or emails.Desired Settlement: Finish the job as promised and we will be satisfied. We want to complete everything on good terms. Thanks

To whom it may concern,

DeLorenzo Construction Services, LLC. has been doing business for several years without any complaints. As with all my clients a contract was established for the original work. Throughout the project everybody was very happy with the quality of our work. [redacted] and her husband [redacted] started adding additional extras towards the end of the project. The vast majority of these extras were related to our plumber and cosmetic work within the bathroom. In the end the additional work that was done equated to $1700.

My company had only received $700 of the extras and we paid our plumber out of pocket of course (which is good business). There was a small amount of work to be performed at the front entrance to the house which will not be completed without full payment of the extras. We were never paid in full for the services that were completed and would prefer not to return.

The money that [redacted] and [redacted] shorted us can be put forth to hire a new contractor in order to complete the remaining work. Contractors beware!!!!

[redacted] has always maintained and PROMISED us via text and email that he would not leave us hanging and come BACK to finish the job! We had no problem up until the very end. Unfortunately, [redacted] underestimated his costs, mostly with his subcontractors, and we never agreed to the higher, additional prices. We wanted to use him because he was an old friend of [redacted]'s and had a great personality. We were very disappointed not in his work so much as how he just left after we gave him the last bunch of cash. Then, shortly thereafter, we started to experience problems with some of his work. His plumber was not worth the extra money he asked for, he did not even do what we asked ([redacted] did, the plumber didn't). The electrician he hire was a nice guy, but cut corners (literally, he cut the corner of our brand new ceiling fan right off) and then drilled a hole in our wall that he never fixed. [redacted] said he would, but he never did either. We paid what we agreed upon and if [redacted] did not want to come back he should have just said so, asked us for a fair, final amount, and said he was leaving. Instead he led us on for MONTHS, stating plainly he would return. He finally stopped replying to our phone calls, texts and emails.

We would like to resolve this matter, but it looks like [redacted] does not. WE are still open though.
