Review: I placed an order for a camera (XP70) Waterproof camera from an online store called "deltacloseouts.com" on May [redacted]. I did not receive a confirmation of this order; only an email from a person named "[redacted]" who asked me to call him to confirm my order. I called [redacted] on May [redacted] to confirm and he told me that I "forgot" to buy a battery with this camera. I am too trusting so I agreed to purchase the battery with the camera and 7 days later the camera arrived on my doorstep. When the camera arrived on May [redacted]; I noticed a significant scratch on the inside of the lens and attempted to contact deltacloseouts about the problem. I was directed to an unidentified voicemail box without a return call. I contacted "[redacted]" this morning (5.21) who told me I needed to call back because he couldst open my order at that time; I needed to call back in 20 minutes. I questioned him on that and he asked me not to be so sensitive. I was flabbergasted. I didnt raise my voice; just asking about my order. I called back the customer service number who promptly sent me a return form but including that I needed to pay a 30 dollar restocking fee and a 15 dollar shipping fee. The note they sent said that my request for a refund was way over the 7 day return policy....I received the order 2 days ago and had been trying to contact them ever since. My refund would be significantly less than the purchase price for a defective device. I feel this is a bait and switch company and have very poor business practices. I think they know exactly what they are doing.Desired Settlement: I would like the return of the entire purchase price; I am happy to resend the device back to them; but would like to feel confident I will receive the entire amount.
