Review: In October of 2013, one of their cabs hit my [redacted] elderly cousin. He was sent to the hospital, a police report was made and the cab company created a contract with my grandmother (his primary caretaker). The contract stated that the company would pay cash to replace his bike and pay for both hospital bills. The check the company wrote out to my grandmother was post dated and she was told that she had to wait to cash the check. My grandmother visited the bank on the post dated date and was informed that she could not cash the check. My grandmother has made over 8 attempts to visit the bank and collect the cash that was promised to her via the contract that she and the [redacted] both signed and agreed to, in my presence. The bank informed my grandmother after her 7th visit that there was no money in the account, and that there haven't been any deposits or arrangements made to pay my grandmother. [redacted], whom has taken on the roll as the [redacted] of the cab site has told me personally that she has put a stop payment on the check because my grandmother was rude to her. Despite my grandmother asking numerous times, the company does not seem to want to settle this matter as stated in the contract that [redacted] drafter herself. I believe she wrote out the check to my grandmother with no intentions of ever paying her, by giving her a check that is associated with a dummy account that has no funds to cover the payment. Both hospital bills were not paid for, and subsequently my cousins governmental publically funded medical coverage had to foot the bill. It is going on almost two years, and it impossible to explain to a [redacted] individual, how someone hit him with a car, completely damaged his bicycle and sent him to this hospital and they are deciding to write post dated phony checks that they never plan to pay to my grandmother. This is a nightmare.Desired Settlement: We would like for the cab company to live up to their side of the contract and pay my grandmother the amount that they agreed to pay to her to cover the cost of replacing the bike. They cannot just hit someone, admit their fault, create a contract stating that they will pay her and then write out a check to a bank account that never has money in it on purpose. OR Write out a check and place a stop payment on the check because the person was allegedly rude, that is not abiding by the contract.
