Delta Industries Reviews (1)

Review: I have been dealing with [redacted], CFO of Delta Industries for a little while now and I can honestly say she needs to work on her people skills. She keeps cutting me off and practically manhandling me.The issue is that Delta Industries $0.97 spray bottle broke and bleached my carpet. There is NO warning on this bottle saying that bleach should not be used and considering a [redacted] employee told me to use it, I didn't think there would be any proble**. **. [redacted] keeps saying that is is common sense not to use bleach, and that if their more expensive bottles have a warning you would figure that you wouldn't use bleach in a dollar bottle (which the bottle the HD man directed us to was on a separate stand/display, not with all the other bottles). If it is that big of a deal your company should pay the extra 3-5 cents and print a warning on the bottle...**. [redacted], keeps cutting me off and wants to know what REASONABLE compensation is, it isn't MY fault that the bottle doesn't have a warning and spilled on MY expensive carpet. What is REASONABLE is to fix the problem and not push people around (on the phone too...) and insult their intelligence...Desired Settlement: I want my carpet replaced. Your product failed, was recommend by someone who (in some way) represents your company, and there is no warning on the bottle; so regardless of price, the REASONABLE thing to do would be to replace my carpet and stop being so rude to me...

Dear **. [redacted]:

This letter is in response to your letter dated September 19, 2013 regarding an All Purpose Sprayer Bottle Complaint by [redacted].

I telephoned and emailed [redacted] several times from September 9,2013 (date of the initial complaint regarding the Sprayer Bottle) until yesterday October 7, 2013. My objective during the above specified time period was to obtain pertinent information regarding the nature of her complaint and to rectify the situation to the best of my ability and her satisfaction.

After numerous discussions, I repeatedly asked [redacted] on September 17, 2013: “What it is that you are looking for and can you give me a reasonable amount you believe you are entitled to?” The question asked was reasonable, prudent and fair in order to bring closure to the issue at hand. I am not clear on why [redacted] felt that I was "manhandling” her, though I had to ask the question at least 10 times while she continued to complain about the situation and continually explain why she did not feel anything was her fault, but failed to state what value she placed on the loss. After 20+ minute conversation, she finally said that she would ask her husband and call me back the next day.

[redacted] emailed me on September 18, 2013 at 11:52am to state that she had spoken with her husband and he thought that $300 was a reasonable amount to fully satisfy the loss and put the matter behind them.

On September 27, 2013, we mailed check #[redacted] to the address [redacted] gave me and on October 7,2013 I sent [redacted] a follow up email asking if payment had been received. Later that same day, [redacted] told me that the check had been received.

I would like to also point out that we volunteered to send her as many replacement bottles as she would like; she requested two (2) replacement bottles, and stated that bleach and other chlorinated solvents should not be used with this bottle; as well as, any hazardous materials.

Should you have any questions or require additional information, please contact me at ###-###-####

Sincerely,

Consumer

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

I have spoken with the President of the company and I have accepted his offer. He is much better to deal with regarding my situation, so while I reject **. [redacted], I have accepted the President's offer.
